Thanks mate! The streaking grime really is such an awesome tool, definitely my go to for space wolves. Still really trying to figure out the whole pacing thing, cheers!

Furless space wolfes are completely fine. After all, they pimp their armor the way they do not to look like wolfes, but to look eye catching and unique. This is because every space wolf aspires to go down into the great saga of the chapter resided every year in the fang during a giant crazy party. And to catch the skjalds attention, while definitely not the deciding factor, having a unique, awesome, heroic appearance helps. And in that your captain succeeds. A true son of Russ!

Thanks 😁 Indeed, after all It's the deeds, not the furs that count the most.

Even if it is a butter knife, the point where you ran your thumb directly down the blade of the exacto multiple times may have taken a few decades off my life...
@AnotherDayMiniatures9 ай бұрын
😅 Yeah, when those things are sharp, they can be a bit terrifying. As it got duller, I slowly realized I'm actually better off with it as it is, rather than having something that gave me a cold sweat every time the blade slipped.

I remember hobbying with my brother a while back and telling him to be careful with the knife. Not a minute later my knife was stuck in my thumb lol.

I really like the richness of the gold, I see a lot of people do a silver highlight on the gold and while it makes it look much brighter it also de saturates it, maybe a final tiny dot highlight of one of the wax based gold paints would bring the effect up. Also was that a crackle paste or a crackle medium?
@AnotherDayMiniatures9 ай бұрын
Thank you. I've done the silver highlights in the past, but also prefer just the saturated gold. It's Distress: Crackle Paste.

I got to tell you man, ever since people learned how to make credible fur with green stuff from people like Valbjorn, there have been way too much of it. It's cool, but when it's on EVERY SINGLE model, it starts to lose its individuality. It just becomes like a boltgun. Everyone has one. You know what I mean? Seeing a badass Space Wolf without the fur for once is actually really refreshing, and he looks amazing! I love the paintjob you did. Especially the chainsword!
@AnotherDayMiniatures9 ай бұрын
Thank you! I can definitely see how having too much of anything thematic can lose it's appeal and just become the mundane. As the saying goes, 'sometimes less is more' 😄

@e.mailissimo21469 ай бұрын
You wrote "WAETD" and "AEMTR" on the sword XD I suggest using a Pigma Micron 003 ink pen for drawing runes on. It is also perfect for painting eyes with perfect control. It is ultra thin and for eyes (and probably those runes) you need more than just one line/spot to make it really visible. But it is a great tool i wouldn't want to miss.
@AnotherDayMiniatures9 ай бұрын
"WAETD" and "AEMTR" the two famous stars above Fenris 😁. I do have a few Pigma Micron pens, they do work really well. However I personally find they always stand out too much from the rest of the model

Take your time, try to measure twice and cut once. If you make a mistake just take a step back and see if you can find a good resolution. Always try different parts as you might be surprised what you find to work for your model. Above all else have fun. 😄🤘
