So what? Sophisticated people love Anoushka's works. The number of them does not matter. Art is always appreciated by minority. "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs." (Matthew 7:6)

Indian raga alone is wonderful to hear and when it comes with a fuse of western elements it's simply exquisite. Even my dog pillowed itself when i was listening to this

Yes! She is a Sitar maestro who has made Indian cclassical music popular throughout the world with her incredible compositions. Just a friendly suggestion don't ever use "bloody" before brilliant or giving any compliment to someone. It demeans the whole compliment as it's a curse word!

I’ve been following Anoushka’s music for some time now and it’s certain that Ravi Shankar’s legacy is in very deserving hands. As for the comments saying this type of music is underrated, I’m honestly kind of glad if that’s the case and this genre hasn’t yet developed a mainstream appeal. Makes me feel like a part of this undiscovered niche sitar gem fan cult.

The prev. album (Traces of you) defined Anoushka's new sound. She & Nitin Sawhney layed down the new foundation of world music. Use of the Hang is brilliant, the bends on sitar are sublime. This is Album is not "Land of Gold" it is GOLD. Rajeev Shankar's shehnai piece in Rubicon is brilliant, man i can go on all day. Much love.

touches me on an emotional level, so unbiquitious, all our parents give this advice to us when we are growing up. I really am missing mamma , baba & Dada Abu now :-'( , this song brings images of my young days at Karachi, Pakistan when my parents and my Dada Abu used to give me these advices. I love you a lot Anushka Shankar, we play your songs during the yoga session at de verijkiker at the V.U. in Amstelveen.

I have never been able to attend any concert of this gem of a person. One of the sad part is very less number of people get connected with this music. At times even I don't understand the sitar. I wish if someone could teach or make me understand this wonderful musical device. I wish to attend one concert of her , sitting in the front row. And if she plays this song, the "Tell them I won , your way" part will definitely bring tears to my eyes

@rr2007rr8 жыл бұрын
what exactly is the "migrant problem"?? Is it code word for racist xenophobes not wanting to act like human beings and welcoming their fellow human beings? Especially when their own governments have been destroying the lands from where humans are fleeing for survival!?
@therealsweep18 жыл бұрын
A major part of the migrant problem is the fact that the massive and uncontrolled flood of migrants has swamped the legitimate refugees, so we can no longer distinguish easily which people are most in need and are most deserving. Genuine refugees have been kept subordinate by migrants, and in some cases raped, murdered, etc. Perhaps you should find out what's really going on before you take easy shots at people more aware than you by calling them racist xenophobes.
