I have a recommendation. I love “the vampire and his pleasant Companions” Idk if it’s your type of book, but it’s been my fav for forever!! Also- at 4:55 you can use blue tac to keep the hat on and it won’t damage the figure! I use blue tac for everything 😂

I think im a bit late but for a manga recommendation I suggest: Black Clover Its a fun shounen series where at first it may look like any other classic shounen series but Black Clover knows this and just has fun with it and eventually breaks alot of these troupes and genuinely goes above and beyond and does even greater things. Black Clover may be a long series, but its longevity and amount of layers and attention to detail makes it worth re reading. At your first read, you may see things at surface level but the further you go in the series as well as looking back at past arcs or chapters, you'll quickly realize that everything has been planned and foreshadowed. Here are some other things the series does that I think adds to its charm: - The cast of characters are all very unique, strong and likeable - Speaking of characters, every single female character in this series is very strong and powerful! - Each arc has its own distinct background making it easier to identify in which place each arc happened and is very great for world exploration - Although the two main characters (Asta and Yuno) are rivals, they break the typical shounen "rivarly" by actually being brothers (they're from the same orphanage but arent blood related) and being each other's biggest supporters! They have HUGE respect for each other and truly wants to see each other succeed. - Black Clover's manga is actually traditionally drawn from the start to today! Although Yuki Tabata's (the mangaka) team are all digital, Tabata himself still draws Black Clover traditionally. (Fun Fact: from my observation, the colored pages and volume covers seemed to be colored using copic markers!) - There are ALOT of references used in the series like Greek Myths, Norse Myths, Demonology, Christianity, and many more. - Classic Fairy Tales are actually used as a basis for alot of characters here! The most obvious one is Noelle (our main female lead) as the "ugly duckling" - Black Clover is actually heavily inspired by Beserk and Tabata himself he wanted to make a series that's like this but make it shounen style (not exactly but in terms of the fights, environment, etc.) - Other inspirations for this series are: Yuyu Hakasho, Dragon Ball and Bleach - This series is pretty fast paced but does it in a way where its pacing is great for this series - If you look at the back / sides of a Black Clover volume, you'll notice that there's a some sort of pattern that serves as a boarder. That pattern is actually a design from a character's grimoire! (for example: vol 1 is Yuno's grimoire!) - The further you get into the series, the darker it actually gets but not really to the point where its depressing - Alot of what happens in the series later on (especially with the recent chapters actually) can be seen in chapter 1 where it was foreshadowed. - Yuki Tabata himself is actually a really wholesome person! He talks about his dog, his daughter and most especially his wife ALOT. He takes alot of his weekly author's comments to promote other friend's work in the manga industry and also to talk about his family alot!! - There are alot of lessons that you can pick up from this seres And here's one last thing that Tabata himself said in an interview: "When asked what he'd say to get someone to read Black Clover, he says he's aiming to draw a passionate manga and that for him, it is a manga with a soul." and that to me, is true. Black Clover is one of the most passionate mangas Ive ever read. Seeing how much time, effort, love despite the series being hated or pushed to the side is very inspiring. Black Clover to me is truly a manga with a soul and it does NOT listen to the haters and instead, it PROVES them wrong. The series itself is alot like our main character, Asta, in many ways where no matter how much hate it gets, they just carry on and never give up. This series is truly an underrated gem that I think deserves way more. I personally haven't seen alot of people talk about this series which makes me a bit sad but also drives me to spread the word about this. I hope you give this series a chance, and if you do, thank you!
