Every time you do a video from Premier of Oregon (the former Country Coach dudes) it's just a huge education on RV everything. I can't thank you and them enough. It's not just the education, it's the unique and proud history of coach building on the west coast. I plan on buying an RV from these guys when I close my condo in Las Vegas and before I start my new life in Keenland, KY.

Another Great Video Andrew, love seeing all the great coaches at Premier Rv. Brian is a wealth of knowledge about the coaches he built and just the little tips and tricks that he brings to the chanel is priceless. What a great crew they have up there and it looks like they only have upper to highland coaches. Thanks for sharing this and looking forward to the paint checking video. I think a lot of people may be unaware about what that is and also how it can be corrected.

One of the best fiberglass coaches made. My father had 2 American Eagles that were good coaches too. Lots of great option out there if you are into saving coin off new. Had a friend that owned a Diplomat and he loved the chassis. These 2 Executives would have been on our short list last year. We settled on a Wanderlodge. Concerning MPG my display shows 6.1 on our 52K pound bus with a 525 Cat. This Executive will get no more than 6. My dad in his 05 Eagle averaged 6.5 with a 500 Cummins and a 42K pound coach. Thanks Andrew for the content. I really appreciate it.

These coaches...living in Pdx area and going to shows..and every year my eyes popping and drooling, it is soooo nice that younger guys love them and they are so sought after. I so enjoy learning more about them..thanks for more checking info...61 in a month GULP..but getting closer to Auntie Sarah time...God willing. What I adore is traveling in your house...period, Also on some small level to be connected to source..thanks to you two for this. The crash was devastating. Oregon also..just had the desire to highlight wood and tile and to me is just is timeless if done right. I also like furniture that does not cave in on first searing. Those banks are not my favorite but boy the room, the nice directors chairs was a great idea with one long coach..and done right can be quite comfy...they were my counter chairs for years. This is absolutely a no paint wood nephew...ok???!! LOL.

This is an awesome coach that's going to sell fast. Damn, and I love the front kitchen, it's like the 2016 CC they had. 650HP. Awesome.
@smacdiesel4 жыл бұрын
The higher end coach's like CC used a thicker slab of fiberglass to eliminate the waves that occur on most coaches. That straight look was very unique to CC, but checking was the cost as time progressed. If you do a checking video, get Gary involved, he knows everything! Awesome video one again!
@DLTJR19594 жыл бұрын
All coaches have issues that are endemic to their construction. You mentioned CC using thicker fiberglass. Even some of the Prevost buses have sidewall delam issues. We had a dealer close to my home that sold and serviced CC and they are indeed a fine unit.

We have had a number of cars, trucks and SUV's that are not "Gel Coat" that have paint cracking / checking. Old as in a 1957 F250, newer domestic on a 2007 Yukon and foreign with our Subaru TOAD. The wild temperature swings we experience in Southern California and strong sun at our home elevation (5200') seem to cause the paint to crack no matter how it's chemically protected. The darker vehicle colors we seem to gravitate toward are definitely more susceptible to cracking than lighter colors but we've experienced cracking on a White vehicle too. The Fiberglass / Gel boats we've owned have NOT experienced the same problems which is most likely because they are lighter in color but they are routinely subjected to 120+ weather out at Lake Havasu and Lake Mead. The best solution we've found (short of a re-spray) is to use a wax matched to the paint color. Using a Black wax on the dark colors does a pretty good job of hiding the cracks and can fool the eye. Using a White wax on a dark color accentuates the cracks with the residue left behind by the wax. Black residue on Black paint = less visible cracks. Andrew might be able to expand on that with his detailing background.

A slide down shutter type roll up & down door on each bay door flushes up the aero under the coach easy add after the fact to any rig. It touches down unrolled then it can retract the whole achordian shutter roll window 3 inches or so. If it takes a hit just 1 roll down bay outside door took the hit easy to absorb & fix.

If u sand blast a softer material 1st then u paint or clear it then paint it more for paints to bond to bc aluminum duct stuck into softer material, If it not easiy rought sanded off med grit then safe to spray it. If u need to sand blast & sand & 3 times in a row to get the best prime surface to start painting on so be it best of both soft & tough surface, flex & hardness extra surface sq inches surface cooling & reflexting kind of prep.

@@smacdiesel no worries, just take it to the Bus Grease Monkey - if you haven't checked out his channel you're in for a treat....he's actually a Detroit diesel dude, but he can work on/fix anything, one of those priceless Americans (who have existed from generation to generation, usually humble yet quietly noble, driven by pure necessity seemingly, but in any case always keeping the country invigorated with that uniquely American do-it-all spirit). If you've ever wondered who keeps those old greyhound buses running strong look no further than the BGM...

slewofdamascus Scott can work on anything yes, but your almost gonna get a guaranteed no from him if you call him and say , “hey Scott, I’ve got a coach with the Cummins 650 in it and I think it may need an in-frame done, can you help me?” He’s gonna refer you to a Cummins shop more than likely, unless it’s close by and they can check it out then Tyler May take it on cause he does work on Cummins engines. Scott works on a few, and that’s very few, Cummins, newer Detroit diesels, and a few of the others out there. He does not like working on the newer stuff at all with everything being tied into the electrical systems and computers are running everything. The only couple of newer ones I’ve heard of him or seen him work on are owns by friends or folks that he’s done work for over the years that updraded but he will be the first to tell ya not to do it!!! They are not reliable at all!! Scott’s passion and love is for working on the Pre-DEFF engines, the older 2 stroke Detroit Diesels in the older busses. He could fix anything as you stated, and I imagine if your sitting on the shoulder of the road and he was closest to you then he would come see if he could help but he’s not gonna like it, but everything else about your comment on Scott is absolutely spot on. Scott is an artist when it comes to these machines and there bout ain’t no one any better than Scott and Tyler and momma Kelley!! Sorry to correct you, I hate doing things like that but I know he has voiced his displeasure numerous times in those comments when folks were asking about him working on the newer, non Detroit machines. Nope I didn’t step on any toes, not meaning to at all

Man, I love trippin' over the quality of well-built... ANYTHING, but when it's something as big as a coach and where you're touching every part of it. It's an intimate experience. I mean think about it - you eat, sleep (wife just added another S. Lol) , shower, actually let's just say the 3 S's. You do laundry, you sit behind the wheel, and the list goes on. Me?
