People, trade value is wholesale value. How do you get the most for your rig? Sell it yourself!
@jamiemcneil94622 жыл бұрын
If you want to get the most cash for your coach, sell it yourself, period. You can call a detailer, you can list it on RV Trader and many other sites, for free. A serious buyer wants to talk to the current owner, not a used car salesman. I know, I have bought coach's from owners and I have always sold my old coach myself. When you take a little initiative you save big, that's just the way it goes when you cut out the middle man. Hope this helps.

"Trade-In" value is a numbers game. If you get 100k for your coach, and the new one costs 200k, it's no different than getting 150k for your coach and paying 250k for the new one. Either way, it's a 100k spread... Good to see you guys out there talking frankly about this stuff!

I really appreciate your candour and tips for both sellers and buyers alike. I’m so impressed by your generosity Dug and my respect for Andrew is your greatest asset as far as I’m concerned. I will see you both in the Spring. Should you know of any shows around this time I’d be grateful for any information. Keep up the good work boys 👍🏻💫

It’s simple your whatever Rv house car is worth whatever someone is willing to pay……just met a couple next to me who out of the blue sold their house sold their Rv and upgraded to a newmar kingaire …and as they said I guess we are full timers now…..how did it start in the oh so hot Austin Tx housing market Someone offered them a crazy amount cash for their home…..a number they would not have seen offered just a few years ago…and bam off and running

This is how you know how much this guy is going to offer you for your rv before you call. Take low nada value of basic price with no add ons then minus 20% . As long as coach has no damage that is what you will get for the camper. I haven't seen a dealer that doesn't use close to this formula

I know used prices are at about an all time high. Would it be better to give it a few months after some of these big shows to maybe find a used coach? Do you believe the used RV market will be staying strong this year with the economy and inflation the way they are? Or do you think the used market may fall back to pre virus levels? Thx
@supremeautomotive67492 жыл бұрын
The way it looks they will be staying high. More people are living in them because of housing prices for sales and rent is so high.

Andrew, all of the coaches you video and the people you deal with are great. Very interesting videos. Seen a lot of your stuff. Have you ever considered doing a mini series on Super C's? I think that is more in my wheelhouse. Still love the class A's though! Keep em coming.

It's the same with car's and truck's, I used to at a Chevy dealer in the mall. I used to before I retired go with friend's and coworker's to get them the best bang for the truck. But their are many great sources you can checkout. But you have to do your homework.

Get appraisals for any vehicle you wish to buy and any you are trying to sell. Advertised prices for RV's, whether from private parties or dealers, are often not hinged to reality. Dealer comps from auctions (i.e. what dealers are paying - actual wholesale numbers) are where you want to start. Dealers won't tell you this number so you need an insider who has access to these numbers. That's where a professional appraisal comes in. They have access to the actual amounts of money dealers have paid at auction. NADA and word of mouth are not reality.

Andrew, I can’t make it to Tampa this week, I’m looking for your expert opinion on the Berkshire XLT, I know there has been a lot of quality issues in the industry since the pandemic started and I just don’t know that much about Berkshire. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated!
