A look at the Anschutz model 1422 made in West Germany before the fall of the wall. A very fine rifle indeed!

I purchased my 1422ST while stationed in W. Germany in 1987 for $326. It's a beauty and still shoots far better than I can!!! Best Regards, Jay

It is. I’m fortunate to have it. I just drop a video that has the Anschutz punching some paper.

I have 2 1422's one European stock and one classic American stock. They shoot amazing. I have had many rimfires, they made my 541 s and 541 t find a new home

I have the 1710 D KL Meister grade. Great squirrel rifle and it’s slightly more accurate than my Cooper 57 Jackson squirrel rifle. Both extreme quality.

Outstanding! Haven’t had the pleasure of a Cooper, yet. Thanks for watching!

The trigger guard on this model is a durable plastic poĺymer which can be broken if the disassembly is not adhered to. If you wish to take the action out of the stock the rear sction screw head is behind the spur in the trigger guard. It is necessary to take out the wood screw from the rear of the trigger guard and then using a cranked screw driver loosen off the screw in the front of the trigger guard so that you can gently pull the trigger guard from the stock at the rear end. That will allow you to push the trigger guard away about 15 mils so that you can get to the action screws and release the action fron the stock. Just be aware that that trigger guard is now about 37 years old and can be fragile. PS there are no spares for that trigger guard. Hope that this has been helpful, there are a few you tube articles which can help. The action screws from the factory are torqued down to 4Nm ,so work aroud this numer if the accuracy changes.

Appreciate the info. Perhaps mine is an older version? The trigger guard is metal. Just be certain my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me I gave it the magnet test. It’s definitely metal.

@@FirearmsandFellowship my rifle was manufactured in 1982 and has the plastic trigger guard, Anschutz may well have changed to a metal trigger guard. I made one from mild steel as a precautionry measure and kept the plastic one in a spares box. I also carved on from a bit of 5/8in thick alumin and had this anadised black that also went inyo the spares box. Enjoy the 1422 mine is a Savage Anschutz 54 sporter based on the 1422 so there may have been changes along the way.

Must be a great target rifle. Too costly.

Beautiful rifle .Second only to the Winchester 52. Only second to the 52 because of the 52's collectors value. The Ansutz is really better made and more accurate. They are the Rolls-Royce of rimfires. I still perfers the American made pumps and Marlin 39a lever action. If I was a competitive tareget shooter. Anshutz hands down. I seen them in action back in the 1980s back when I ran the bench rest matches at the Orange Gun clubs in Orange Texas. Most shooters ran Ely TenX ammo back then.

Agreed. The 52 is a great rifle. The Anschutz is in a class of its own. Everything about it is just a bit better than the 52. In my opinion.
