PERGEAR looks so cool, and the image looks so vintage and old, and I like this. Thanks for your great review.

Speaking of 7artisans 25mm f1.8 -- seems as more recent review claims it it sharp and doesnt have blur issues, could be more recent builds got blur edges fixed?
@Paul-gb3df4 жыл бұрын
Had both, and the Pergear won it for me. Both are very sharp, but the Pergear has much better build quality, bokeh, and distortion. Could not get used to the short focus throw on the 7artisans.

Not sure how new Pergear is to the scene but they seem to be creating gear that can compete with what's been out for a while. Definitely keeping my eye on them. Thank you for putting us on!

A couple hours ago, I just ordered another 7art 25mm, this one for my MFT cameras, hehe. (I found a new, open box one on Ebay for just 50 bucks, free shipping.) I LOVE your great, simple, powerful inspirational message at the end! You're a Great Dude. _Now let me go wash my hands, hehe!_ Much Luv to you and your awesome family, Brother Anson! Peace

Great and detailed comparison ... it's amazing how good these lenses are. If you filmed a documentary film with any of them, nobody would guess that you've used a cheap lens. SLR magic lenses deliver this look and they cost 5x more. Oh, 7Artisans wins for me here too ;)

What I don’t understand is why the 7Artisans focusing scale printed on the lens is pure fiction, not even close to actual distance focused at. I just cannot understand how they could get it so wrong. This makes “pre-focusing” by scale impossible with this lens. For fast shooting in street photography being able to trust the accuracy of a focusing scale is essential, not just something that would be nice to have. The DoF scale is way off also. These are not minor problems and something that should be checked in every lens review
@Ansonandco3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I don’t know if I had given it any thought before, I guess I just assumed it would be way off based on price lol

And when focused at infinity, nothing is in focus. Infinity focus seems to be at the 15’ mark....which is a very short throw from focus at 2’....which is marked 4’. Smh.

At 7:17 did you notice the noise on the sewing machine with the 7artisan? I was curious if you noticed that in any other shots. Was this noise only visible with video? Is there any noise with still images? Or maybe the noise from that clip was just an anomaly/inconsistency?

@QippysChannel4 жыл бұрын
Anson & Co. haha the R5 is good I guess except that it hasn’t arrived yet but apparently will be scheduled within this week God Willing if all goes well, anyway fortunately i did managed to play around with a sample unit 2 weeks ago and to be really honest i was smitten, the 4k 120 fps was real nice and generally with the short burst style of my shoots I honestly did not face any overheating at all, but then again it may be because I am not doin super demanding kinda video style of shoots, but i really loved it , especially with IBIS combined with my vintage lens it was insane tht this was a Canon! Haha
