. Ok so I understand bottled water is an extra charge, On ship and castaway. I heard you can bring an empty bottle to carry around with you to fill for free. So can just bring it on the ship empty on my carryon like the those Disney ones you can get at dollar tree. Or does it have to new full bottle of water in my checkin. I just want to know how can avoid paying for water?
@DisneyCruisers5 жыл бұрын
There is water on the ship for free in the soda fountain. You could bring your own reusable water bottle, then use the soda fountain cups to fill up your bottle. You aren’t allowed to stick your bottle under the fountain for sanitary reasons. If you bring a bottle on, you can just put it in your carry on. You can also just bring on food and drinks. So you could stop at the store and get a small pack of water and bring it on the ship with you. You have to have this in your carry on. However, I think the free water on the ship tastes great 😃👍🏻

This time we stuck to Cabanas for breakfast and lunch. I wanted to go to the Royal Court, but my husband didn't want to be sat with a different family (pfft, really? haha). Next time though, I would like to at least eat lunch in the main dining.
@DisneyCruisers5 жыл бұрын
I hate to tell you this.. but during breakfast and lunch you sit by yourselves... :)

@@DisneyCruisers Shhh! Haha. When we went on the Wonder 3 years ago we sat with another family at lunch, since then my husband was like, meh...but it was also super packed that day; )

On our first cruise I would run into my kids all over the ship. Saw my middle at the Daisy meet n greet. We decided to get Cabanas for lunch but on the way saw that Royal Court was open for lunch. Great service even though they weren’t our regulars and perfect little date in the middle of all the activities. I’m hooked on dining room lunches now. I schedule lunch dates with each of my kids. It’s great!

My wife and I have the same split of opinion - I'm on your husband's side on this where breakfast is concerned. I prefer ordering off a menu and having my food delivered freshly prepared and hot. I tired of buffet style dining when I was in the military and ate more of these types of meals than I care to remember. I do hate the limited hours they serve the sit-down breakfast. Of course, my wife and I both love Palo's brunch! We also loved the sit-down lunch on embarkation day - much less crowded and crazy than Cabanas!
@DisneyCruisers5 жыл бұрын
Did you ever sail when the embarkation lunch in the MDR was a buffet? If so, did you like that. I did not. Too crowded to have people keep getting up and moving around.
@timharrison14475 жыл бұрын
Disney Cruisers, on one of our early cruises on the Wonder we had the buffet lunch in the MDR (I think it was Triton’s). I didn’t like it as much as Cabanas or the sit-down offered now.

Are the menus for breakfast and lunch on the navigator app or do you have to walk down and check out the menu? We only ate at cabanas on our last cruise but this time I want to try main dining.

My seven-year-old daughter has a food allergy and so eating out is difficult for us at home. This is why we go on Disney cruises (going on our third in May)... to eat safely. They take allergies very seriously. So, we love to eat lunch and breakfast in the main dining rooms, especially the Enchanted Garden buffet on the Dream for breakfast. They are relaxing and we feel pampered. Cabanas is nice for breakfast on an at sea day when it's not super crowded.

I prefer either to have room service deliver my breakfast so I can sit on the balcony and enjoy my coffee and pastry OR I go to the buffet grab a couple things and go sit on my balcony! :-) The last cruise we went on we did a sea day brunch and it took way too long! I'm not saying that it wasn't nice, but I don't like to spend too much time sitting in a restaurant. I prefer to be outside enjoying the ocean air!
@DisneyCruisers5 жыл бұрын
ooooo yes room service is nice! Our issue with that is that everyone wakes up at different times. of course I am the first to get up and I would LOVE to get room service but I feel it would wake everyone else up. Yes the sea day brunch is always more crowded and does take quite a long time. I only go to that without kids. lol

I agree with both you and your husband. I like eating early in Cabanas....especially when I realized they will make me an omelette. The servers are happy to get things for you (my experience on the Magic.) when it comes to service, the Magic is my favorite! I watched them help families with children get everything they need in Cabanas. Lumiere's is a totally different experience if you have the time. I enjoy them both!

We actually preferred the food at Cabanas over the food at the MDRs. Shocking, I know.😂 We prefer a more casual dining experience, so Cabanas was right up our alley. I loved eating breakfast out on deck in the mornings. It was beautiful! The only reason I would consider eating in a MDR is for convenience. With 3 kids, it would be nice not to be fixing plates for everyone!

I’m correct....I much prefer Cabanas for breakfast and lunch. 😊. But, we do try to eat at least one breakfast and lunch in the main dining room on every cruise. @DisneyCruisers5 жыл бұрын
That is usually our compromise. Breakfast is the MDR and lunch at cabanas or pool.
@rhondaarias6065 жыл бұрын
You are awesome, but I completely disagree here. I like my food hot, especially eggs, and I never get them hot on a buffet. Also, after one cruise, and one coming up this year, I must say that Cabanas will not figure into our cruise much at all. Not because its a bad buffet, its not. Its because I don't like buffets. I dont like the up-and-down. I end up eating alone because everybody is up getting something else. But that's just me. You all can enjoy Cabanas, and I will enjoy the nice, quiet, relaxed and elegant atmosphere of the main dining room! :)
@DisneyCruisers5 жыл бұрын
