What citizenship does Kaya have? Thai, Swedish or American? Or all? Since she’s born in Thailand your husband is a US citizen and you’re Swedish

With my poor english I will explain. Foreigner who born in Thailand cannot have Thai citizenship. At least one of baby'parent must be Thai, You can have Thai citizenship. The old law said that if your dad is not Thai, you can't immediately have citizenchip. Some superstar such as Ann Sirium and Kot Jakkapun who was born in 70' have this problem. It took many years until the interior ministry say yes you are Thai. But Thailand is facing low birthrate, this government changed the law. Anyone who is born here can request Thai citizenship after you get bachelor degree.

@@nattyultraman Oh but aren’t there a lot of Chinese in Thailand who have completely assimilated with Thai culture and has Thai names, speaks Thai and identify as Thai and are Thai citizens? Also so in the past even if the mum is Thai, they still can’t get Thai citizenship?? I thought Thailand is like the US/Canada & Europe where you’ll have automatic citizenship if you’re born in that country.

@@nathanchang7713 In Thailand history, many noble family who worked for royal have chinese ancestor. There were wave of chinese worker to Thailand during King Rama4 and King Rama5. And another wave just around ww2. Then china became Communist.At that time ,goverment issue them thai citizenship.That's it. Thai are so scare of communist. The later immigrant cannot get thai citizen. Later.we have vietnam ,Lao, hill tribe from Lao and Myanmar, these people still does not have Thai citizen. Actually, we did have the law which do not allow Thai who has foreign parents cannot work in military but that law is over.
