It is so beautiful that Sherpa wanted to guard you /ensure your safety when you broke your ankle even at the cost of his personal comfort, if that's not the purest demonstration of love a dog can give I don't know what is. Sherps would be a sucker for security work, all those people all the time! Bring it on!! He's looking so well, my own husky just finished losing about 15lbs and has another 8 or so to go and he is NOT enjoying his diet. But we want our guy around for another 8 years! It’s sweet when your dog loves talking to people. It’s like “you’re having a bad day? I wuvuuuuuuuuuu!” When we use to live in an apartment, my Snuggles would not go back in the house until she made human pet her. But now she’s old she losing her hearing and sight she doesn’t trust anything or anyone but is, she get scared and when she knows her senses are almost gone she gets almost depressed (but don’t worry she’s super healthy). When she’s sad cuz she’s not a pup anymore we play and love her and give her treats

Thanks for the Q&A. My huskies usually only get baths after a camping trip when they lay in the dirt for a number of days. Normally Huskies don't need a bath because their hair doesn't smell and it seems to shed dirt on its own. Can't wait to see Key and Sherpa back together, yes that will be crazy. Too bad you can't give the extra food away. I lost one of my huskies and my vet took her food and gave it to other dogs in need.

My dog got his temperature taken "that way" as a puppy, He whirled around and gave a look to the vet that said, "Right, mate, you don't want to do that again." He never forgot and that was the end of taking his temperature. RIP, Max.

Gunner my Shiloh Shepherd does that kick the dirt thing. He didn't start doing it until he hit around six years old. He is seven now. He's a bit bigger than Sherpa, 126lbs 30inches. He is a rare breed, base breed is Malamute. LOL so pretty vocal, but not as talkative as Sherpa. Gunner is pretty chill , the Shiloh is mainly bred for companion dogs. 🐕❣

I wanted to wish a Happy Halloween to Jamie and Sherpa on this sad occasion of their first Halloween apart.💔 Jamie is at the Guy Fawkes Inn in York today, on a road trip. Huskies, Malamutes, German Shepherds, Border Collies should rarely be bathed with shampoo! It will remove the natural protective oils from their coats and can lead to dry/irritated or worse skin issues. A clear water rinse works to get rid of excess surface dirt and debris. Unless, they roll in "stuff". When my girl rolled in coyote poop 😞😒😣 - the use of a dog shampoo was definitely in order! 😅😅😅

When you said that you wouldn’t think of being without a Sherpa I would have to agree with you. I have a few different dog breeds through out my life time. I was a foster home for dogs waiting for forever homes. So I have gone through the gambit of breeds. I have to agree that huskies and malamutes are the most vocal. They are also very gentle, intelligent and protective. I have a husky mix of my own now and I wouldn’t trade her for the world. This breed of dog is very under rated and deserve much more credit for their characteristics. Love your videos and so does my dog. When she hears Sherpa she watches the television and talks to him. I love it.
