Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I brought a house in UK (Now mortgage free) using this same philosophy. It does work! I agree 100% with your ideas as they allowed me to survive on a modest salary and buy a 4 bed house near London in UK which is big deal. I have a relative in Vancouver who is struggling. She does not cook, and is still using a tiffin service 7 years since arriving in Canada. When she came to visit me in UK, She threw away home cooked food in the trash because she was not used to the taste. Her advice to me was " you should socialize more and go to restaurants" I remained quiet and allowed the visuals to do the talking. She was in my house, and she knows she doesn't have a hope of buying property in Canada. She truly didn't get it and tried to trick me into inviting her to live with me.... I politely declined🙂 I hope your discussion reaches people in India as well. In my experience, they are often vitriolic about the lifestyle of people living in UK/Canada. Yes, there are certain advantages but we have worked incredibly hard to achieve what we have. Well done for telling the truth.

Gulati Sahib , Sikhs by nature are thrifty . You are right everything begins with a budget. I have lived my life in budget. I am not a travelling kind. I spent most of my income, educating my children and getting them married. I have three children. Everything is calculated when spending. that is how living is managed. You are lucky you can travel. Just enjoy your life. Dont worry you know best how to manage your life. I am now 71 years, I still work.

In the U.S., all expenses related to producing a video for your you tube channel are tax deductible. This includes travel expenses, website expenses, recording equipment, restaurant expenses, internet costs, home office prorated costs etc… as long as you include it in a video , that you tube pays you for. Hence the huge emphasis on recording every minute of a vacation trip, meals etc.. and using them in an uploaded you tube video. Of course it must be a business that is profitable, so you can’t show losses for more than 4 years. What is it like in Canada? Are video content production expenses tax deductible?
