I’ve witnessed pastors practice what I could only call power of suggestion, inflections, shouting, noises, or statements like , whew there it goes! Did you feel the warmth or heat!? etc.

Dr. Brown Why don't we see any one like Smith Wigglsworth or Grandma Etter today? What was the difference in them and the church of today ?

I'm really sorry, but although it seems people get healed I only ever seem to hear or read about it on the internet and despite my many years and prolonged prayers to God for healing of various things in my own life, there is not even a shred of evidence of anything ever happening. And no, it is not because of personal sin either.

@@JWatts-gc4zw The problem here is that your testimony is totally anecdotal and lacks detail, not to mention that cancers naturally go into remission all the time. You don't specify any causal connection between a prayer and the time it took for the so called cancer healings to occur. Therefore, I see no miracles here. Then there are to countless testimonies of people coming out of Pentecostal or Charismatic churches who grew up in them and left later in life who say they never once saw a bonafide genuine healing miracle. Why is that? I'm asking you.

@@JWatts-gc4zw Well, you confirmed my suspicions that there were no miracles involved in your anecdotal accounts. I'm sorry if you are offended by that statement but I see absolutely no reason to believe any miracles of healing occurred in your testimony. I already explained that cancers go into remission and yes they even go away completely when a person nearly dies from it. There are lots of examples of that. I won't push you to respond. And I won't respond further. I just think you need more reason and discernment.

If you were to take a timemachine back 2000 years and approach Jesus for healing would he heal you? The answer is yes. Does anyone doubt this? My guess is no. Is he the same yesterday, today, and forever or not? If he's not then we have bigger problems than whether someone gets healed or not. Is Jesus a respecter of persons? Concerning healing did Jesus treat all the same way? Yes, he healed every single person that came to him for healing. Period. Has this changed? Is Jesus now a respecter of persons? If so, then the problems are bigger still. We now have contradictions in the bible namely with the person of Jesus Christ. So either Jesus has changed or the problem resides with us. The plot thickens I suppose.
