the hilarious thing is that, where I live, skinny jeans never went away 😂😂 I was one of the few people to actually adopt the baggy pants, and now people are FINALLY coming around on them.

@@kerri-annereyes8696 Can confirm as a fellow Sydney sider! Skinny jeans have not and will not go anywhere. The online fashion world is not at all reflective of what's happening out in the real world

Every millennial and boomer at my corporate office is wearing skinny jeans and black skinny pants! If I tried to wear skinnies for fashion, it would just look like I'm blending in 😭

Laini, I feel like your channel is becoming the new best dressed. You have such stunning style, but in a way that’s achievable but still inspiring for the fashion girlies. Xoxo

Random food for thought… when I started watching you more than a year ago I noticed that my hairline was quite similar to yours. I distinctly remember thinking “wow she looks so beautiful embracing this feature about herself, maybe I can look that good too”. Since then I’ve pushed myself out of my comfort zone, wearing my hair up in a high pony or tight French braids. You changed my perspective for the better so thank you Laini🥰 Also side note, apparently the high rounded foreheads with a widows peak were a trend in renaissance times or something like that? So we’re like Victorian chic? I’m gonna go with that!

7:59 As a fellow mom, and also a pretty messy eater myself 😬, my little trick to be able to wear my “good” clothes is to put on a big long robe over my outfit when I am around the house, especially working in the kitchen. I have a lightweight cotton flannel robe that works for all seasons. There are still some things that I don’t wear at home, but my robe trick helps me to get so much more wear from my nice clothes

I really love how you have been putting an emphasis on embracing our uniqueness! it makes me feel really happy :D Getting into/being into fashion has helped me embrace my features so it reminded me of how you said high fashion models have a distinct look. I have my own distinct look and I emphasize that with my style and makeup 🥰I loved this video so much!!!

i completely agree w the food for thought monologue… my friends and i talk about plastic surgery and “the instagram face” often and it makes me sad to think about too… and i know personally i would regret any work done later more than i would dislike wrinkles or my lip size, etc.

Anxiety is literally irrational, so of course it comes for no reason. Even when you feel broken that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re really broken. You are strong. The anxiety is understandable, even if it isn’t logical. And you’re a mom with your first child! I don’t have kids yet (and hopefully won’t for a while oof) but I think you are a very loving mom, and Lucy is lucky to have sweet parents. Also, thank you for the fashion talk, it’s always so fun!

I said it before, but I have a much more pronounced widows peak and never gave it a second thought. Hairdressers pointed it out; I never noticed. I also have a higher forehead than you do, and yes, I wear bangs, but swept to the side. Every woman has features she doesn’t like. Thing is, you’re beautiful.

Can you post a video on how to style leopard print in 2024? Whenever I browse I feel like the pieces I find either look cheap or reminiscent of like 2000s and 2010s Jersey Shore/Kardashians. Even the 2019 leopard satin skirt outfit feels dated. 🥲 I kind of like the idea of leopard print pants or something more subtle like a bag or kitten heels. I want to get a piece that I’ll want to wear often, whether leopard print is trending or not.

A lot of people get veneers because they weren’t born with teeth or a smile like yours. It’s easier to embrace features on yourself when you’re already attractive by common *accepted* beauty standards. Models do have odd features which makes their faces stand out however they also share the same *rare* height, weight and measurements which keeps them at the 5% of body types. Beauty should be a widely accepted and subjective concept but unfortunately it isn’t and for a lot - it’s a privilege
@LizzylovesLobo Жыл бұрын
This is obviously not what shes talking about, she is saying embracing unique features looks better than hiding them, so like for example a slick back bun might look nicer than parting your hair in an odd way on PURPOSE to hide something someone otherwise wouldnt give a second thought to. Like theres nuance in her words, she means you look more awkward hiding yourself than embracing something unique
