No there is no huge difference. Cse has more core subjects and specialisation has subjects more focused on a stream like artificial intelligence and so on. Both of them are good and you can make a decision based on what you want your career to be in

Ece has a lot of circuit related subjects so it could be hard and those who take ece also practise coding. Cse does contain physics, chemistry for first year and maths for 2 years. So you can make your choice!

I wanted to be closer to home because my parents didn’t want me being in hostel where there may be bad association and not very healthy living. But I have many friends in hostel who have adjusted and they like being in hostel. Both have their advantages like you won’t get a home like atmosphere in hostel and in hostel you get a new experience and learn to be independent. So think about it and make a decision.
