Congratulations on taking this new leap of faith and I am excited to see the new content you bring. I've been wishing for a long time that someone in the industry would be able to review and talk about older boats to let people know how accessible towed water sports/ boating can really be. There is nothing like the camaraderie and closeness that a boat provides. There's nothing else where you would put so many people so close together, for hours, and have such a great time. If you're ever in Arizona, you are welcome to ride with us. My friends and I still wakeboard behind a 1988 Ski Nautique. My dad bought it new in 88, my friend and I own it now, and it's still going strong. With sacks it gives a fantastic wakeboard wake and without sacks it gives a fantastic slalom wake. You can buy a good one for between $6-$8,000.

Hey Shaun I live in Deerfield Beach FL and have been wakeboarding at skirixen off and on for about 15 years I go behind a boat occasionally and have been coached by Dean Lavelle actually going there this weekend the 11th I saw your testimonial on you tube and really liked it I journal most days and write 3 things I am grateful for I read through my journal this week for 2024 and I wrote I was grateful for your videos and your testimonial The videos on body position and load and release helped bring my wakeboarding to a new level I had hoped to come up to OWC and get coached by you and meet you but it looks like you wont be at OWC coaching anymore I am 61 and once again want to thank you for all your hard work and great instruction

Clearly runs deeper than we will ever know. I cant imagine anyone handing back a free Paragon and giving up a salary if not. That said, you now have an opportunity to make more content which equals more YT revenue which should be good for you and very interesting for us…...But saying no longer bias cant be true, if a company pays you to do a feature for them and lends you a boat for a term, you are still being paid by them and can not say negative things. The great thing is that we get to see more of SM doing so many different things, but I cant help feel for Nautique who have been very loyal to you….just being honest

I think maybe you should find some people that are still running with older boats, I run a 1992 ski nautique with a tower and we run fat sacs in it and I wakeboard behind it all summer long, and I think it just be great if you could go out and prove to all these people that you don’t need newest and greats and largest boats out there to make wake to board behind and that it’s still possible to do it and have a tone of fun behind these older smaller boats that might not make as larger wake as some of these newer ones

I definitely hope to get behind some older boats to show that anyone with any budget can have fun. For sure I enjoy being out on boats that are decked out and hope to continue to do that as well but I realize that may not be for everyone. Hope to give more access to good times on the water

@ yer one day I’d love to have that budget but I’ve only been wakeboarding for a few years now and for me the wake is perfect size and fun to ride behind like you always say low risk high reward and with larger wakes it will exaggerate your mistakes, one day I hope to be in a decked out boat but for now that’s were we are at but god even back in 92 nautique was still doing it right even people over here on the water when they see it they always compliment it and say dam that’s a gorgeous looking boat

I bought a 2016 Nautique 210 used a few years ago and love it. But it was agonizing to figure out if I should go with a used "high end" boat vs a new "cheaper" boat for a similar price (I was focused on Moomba and to a lesser extent Axis). I couldn't find any non-biased in-depth reviews of boats and what it's like to actually live with them. I really hope you can use your platform to get boats on loan and review them honestly. This is how the auto industry works, why not boats? Best of luck and look forward to the new content! I think if you can get boats on loan your videos would do great numbers. If the manufacturers have a good product they should be begging you to review them.

@Shaun.Murray I really like Doug Demuro and Out of Spec Reviews for car reviews. Two completely different styles but both really good. I'd absolutely watch an hour and a half of you going over everything about the latest Supra SA or Sea-Doo Wake edition.

Got your original detention VHS with my first wakeboard back in the day. What are the chances we get that version uploaded to the youtube?

Have been looking for the original file and so far not coming across it. Would be fun to see it but currently don't have it. I do have part 2 VHS, maybe part 1 somewhere, but I do have the DVD and could transfer it to MP4 to then upload. Quality could be pretty low but so it the original 😉

You know what’s crazy as I’ve been there. I’ve witnessed it. I’ve taken part of it. When you tell a guy, you can do all three disciplines and it’s a 24 foot boat that weighs 8000 pounds. I think what you’re doing is pretty awesome. My problem is I don’t know that a boat exist Anymore and today’s market that’s reasonable. They’re all hundred thousand dollars. But that goes for anything right now, vehicles included the market needs to be reset and hopefully with our new leadership that will happen. Super excited for you in this path. I truly hope it works out and I’m looking forward to the content you put out.
