Your son Chase is such a character, funny and full of pizazz....yes I am an older person, and Adler is just melt your heart adorable...they both have your sensitive blue eyes. I am almost 68 and a mother of 4. My 2 sons were much younger than my daughters. When the oldest son was about 14 I bought a 5-acre place in the country. It had a deep well, a detached garage, a lean-to on one side, and a garage that had a mudroom with a shower and commode. It also was large enough for a sofa, twin size bed. The house was just a two-bedroom, 109-year-old typical farmhouse. It was 125 yrs. old when I left it. From a female's perspective, raising 2 sons in the country with farm animals, chickens, goats, a steer, more than once, a garden to feed us; you are doing a great job teaching your sons. Both of mine have good-paying jobs and could afford to buy their meat from a store. But they raise their food. Their children are healthy, they've learned about life and death. And how hard work pays off. Congratulations on your methods of farming and raising two adorable boys. I love watching Dutch's channel also. You are hitting it with subs!

You said, I know it doesn’t look like much now when you panned around your garden area but I was truly impressed. A large flat sunny area for a gardener is fantastic. We are rocky here where I live on top of the mountain in AL. Raised beds are great. I used old pallets but it’s because my husband had free ones left from his business. I saw someone on KZbin use 1x6x8 fencing because lumber prices are crazy right now. They are less that 2$ at Lowe’s. I haven’t tried it yet but thought it was a great idea. I agree with people thinking you can overthink what you build stuff out of. The bottom line is holding soil in a contained area to plant in. Can’t wait to follow your garden journey. I have kids your age and my son is 33 so I’m not being a weirdo stalker. Lol But you are a great looking, well balanced, Christian, family oriented, and grounded young man. God has your future in mind. Don’t know why anyone outside of your true family circle that loves you and ALWAYS wants what’s best for you should have an opinion about your personal life. Keep on doing what your doing. Keep the faith. I would say you’ve got this but really we don’t. Gods got this and He has you! 👩‍🌾🌻💛☀️

Chad I just started watching your videos a few days ago and have subscribed. I love the way you talk to your boys. The way you teach them. I love the way you talk to and about your animals. The way you interact with your animals, name them & pet them. Smokey is beautiful and the love you show her and the love she has for you is wonderful. I'll enjoy seeing all of your video

If you ever head to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, I would love to have a load of rocks. We don’t have rocks down here. We have weeds, weeds and more weeds! We plant gardens on Good Friday; plant potatoes on February 14th. Good luck with your farm. My Mom was raised on a cotton farm and Daddy was raised on the Gulf Coast. We’ve always had a garden. In 1962 we moved to a rural area. We raised cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, guineas, geese (for a while), quail and pigeons (for a while). Loved living on a farm.

Chad, I so enjoy watching you muddle through. It makes me feel like I am not the only one. I am 77 years old and just started gardening last year. Having raised four kids and had to be the go-between, port in the storm for hot-headed teenagers ( who were soooo glad to go back home when they realized Grandma was stricter than Mom) I have had a crazy variety of pets in our house and yard. But I've never really had a garden until last year. Almost everything died- except the pole beans. You cannot even fathom the amount of green beans that I was able to get off of one plant! I was giving away grocery bags full to the brim of green beans to literal strangers. You delivered my mail? You get a bag of beans. You came to read the meter? - bag of beans. I have shelves slap full of canned beans and we just don't even eat that many beans. The Community Soup Kitchen will take them but you have to call in advance and they cannot take canned. I planted them again this year and they have already started coming up - because I must be out of my mind. But, this time, I've got a plan. I have people who have asked for some, so I think that things are going to be a little mores under control - except, this time, they will probably all die. You know the saying, " If you want to make God laugh, make a plan". So, I'm going to watch your garden and hope that you have lots of luck. And, hopefully, I get something besides that hill of beans in mine. I almost forgot! We had an Irish Setter that we gave eggs to but our vet said not to give them every day. She recommended once a week. She said that they will make the pads on their feet crack and in stuff one. P

Howdy Chad. I was binge watching y'all and reading the comments. I should have started from the first video. You answered most of the questions I was curious about. Kudos to you for being a good dad👍👍 Due to my health issues and the crazy world we're living in at this time, I watch a lot of KZbin. I enjoy learning new things and watching people who homestead, gardening and teach children valuable lessons. Oh and cooking videos, because always nice to have new recipes. Thanks for sharing your life and children with us. In my thoughts and prayers. God Bless y'all and the farm 🙏✌❤😊

Ahh those are pebbles compared to the boulders we grow in this area. You should see one road in Highfill down from my old home. They have been scraping on that boulder every year since before I was born and the rocks are still huge. You can't see any dirt in some spots lol

YOUR OLDEST SON LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE YOU. YOU ARE A GREAT FATHER FARMING AND RAISING TWO BOYS. IS THERE ANY COUSINS THE BOYS CAN PLAY WITH OR HAVE THEM OVER FOR A FEW NIGHTS OR YOURS STAY WITH THEM FOR A FEW NIGHTS. I THINK IT WOULD BENEFIT BOTH BOYS. AND HOPEFULLY YOU COULD GET A EVENING OF REST.
