Not only is Answers the best, most nutritious pet food in the market, it is the best, most nutritious FOOD in the market! Roxanne and Billy are well trusted! Their meticulous attention to detail is unmatched!...no concerns here unless the FDA decides to lay the hammer down...we'd have a problem then, not with Answers, but with the FDA!

I was one of the many cat owners that fed their cat Rad Cat raw. Rad Cat ended up closing down after temperature abuse of their sample and how financially hard they were hit due to the recall and lack of payment from distributors. The thing is that they had a top notch, clean facility. They were often complimented by the inspectors that came to inspect. There is a blog on their website about this. Just go to www.radfood.com and click on the blog link located on the top right and it’s the second blog entry titled “Temperature abuse of raw food samples used for regulatory action is condoned by regulatory agencies and FDA” The problem is that it seems to me that the FDA has an issue with raw pet food. If Answers is going to fight this, please reach out to Rad Cat raw food. What happened to them was unjust and cats who thrived on this food are the ones paying the price. Rad Cat was still a small company that was growing but simply wasn’t big enough to fight back. I’m sure Answers and Rad Cat and other raw pet companies could fight this together for the sake of the pets who eat raw food.

Your dog's or cat's stomach is highly acidic, with a pH range of 1-2.5. Nothing much can survive that acidic environment - it exists to keep your pet safe from potentially contaminated raw meat and other consumables. In addition to the acid, dogs and cats also naturally produce a tremendous amount of bile.

I've said this before: Dogs can handle way more salmonella in their diet than humans can. When any unelected agency attempts to punish a dog food manufacturer for salmonella contamination, the always use the term "potential salmonella poisoning" and say "no pets or people have been reported to be sickened"...it's all GARBAGE! And Dave, you post some "recalls" that, frankly, you shouldn't even pass on to your readers.

I was wondering if you knew if HEB grocery store ever had recalls on the cat food? Someone that I was talking to online didn';t know if the cat was just to old or the food was bad. She fed one H-E-B Texas Pets Indoor Complete. I don't know who makes heb food or if they make their own. I am not in texas where she shops, but I just wondered if you ever heard of recalls or people saying if it made the cat sick. I can't find much online other then dog food reviews for the brand and not cat for her. her cat was 15 that recently passed of kidney disease.

We have heard of no recent H-E-B cat food recalls.
