Why did God even allow Satan to be cast down to earth, rather than immediately cast him and all those who followed him… into hell. This would have saved human kind a whole lot of pain, suffering and eliminate the prospect of hell (no serpent in the garden) This is something that deeply troubles me and I struggle with. I’m really trying to understand this action from an all powerful, loving God. 🙏

Well, if you don't know the "backstory" of the devil, he was an angel of heaven. In a nutshell, he wanted to be god. When God condemned him, he took 1/3 of the angels down with him for he hated God so much. He seemed to basically undo and ravage God's wonderful creation as much as possible.(now known as demons or fallen angels). Now I'm assuming God gave angels and spiritual beings the same freedom and us humans but with different roles.I do truly hope that this explains one of your questions and is sad to see im a year late.
