06:20 I think a mistake has crept in here with the coordinates. According to the Ansys definition, the Z coordinate is colored blue. And Z is the thickness direction. Green should therefore be the transverse direction. Or have I misunderstood something? thanks!

Hi. I have a question. In composite properties we have different E1 and E2 but in polar properties shows same . Why? And how can We change that? Thanks!

Sir can you help me with one thing? I have mistakenly deleted 'composite materials' from engineering data sources...Now I don't know how to bring it back......If you could help me with this, I'm badly in need of it

Could someone please explain the practical benefit of doing this analysis when you don't even know the material properties of woven composites? More clearly, when you plan to actually manufacture a monocoque, the carbon fibre composite it's made out of will have different properties to those inputted into ANSYS. They will be drastically different too.

Why will they be different?

@@hokiebama1187 The properties for woven composites inputted here are vague and far off the real life values you would get if you manufactured a woven piece of carbon fibre. Fine for unidirectional though.

@@Freddie1M I don't think they ever meant to have actual values, if you're designing your own monocoque you will definitely know the properties of your material better then a software engineer, this is more about features then the actual design

@@giedriusandriulionis2807 If that's the case what's the point of having numbers at all? They are there so you can simulate your design to see if it is stiff or stronger enough for example.

@@Freddie1M If the numbers are blank, the simulation will not run, so there has to be something there, and as I mentioned previously, there was no intent to calculate the strenght of the chassis, the point of these tutorials is to show basic features and working priciples of ACP, nothing else. If you've previously worked with Ansys, you'll know that most of the time, if your design is critical, you will have to use your own custom material.
