thanks dr.I am simulating the 180 degree bend and want to match the pressure loss per unit length from ansys with the analytical. It has quite difference

Thank you for the great video. I have seen your other videos, and I really appreciate the way you are using hand calculations to verify simulation output. I just have a question on the way the pressure drop is calculated. Because there is reversal flow at the planes (especially immediately after the bend) you are calculating pressure drops, do you think you should take mass weighted average instead of area weighted? Thanks in advance for clarification.

I have a question: for a more accurate result could you calculate the Darcy friction factor of a smooth pipe for your given Reynolds and then take the length of the 180 bend to calculate the losses with the formula: Pf=1/2*f*rho*U^2*L/d? You then substract that value to the 3.66Pa to get a more precise Pl. Or am I wrong?

Thanks for sharing My question is why you used the totale pressure for calculating the Pressure drop and not the staic pressure

when assessing pressure drop in a pipe. The use of total pressure accounts for both static and dynamic components and provides a more comprehensive measure of the energy of the fluid.

Hi Do you have any idea , how to calculate pressure drop for a static mixer, shown in this video. i tried to calculate exactly but the empirical value is no where close to measured pressure dop . Thanks . kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXO0YYarqbhkfdk
