Hi lee, I imitate yo to build the model. Also shared the topology (Pos- 4, neg-3). But after solving i also got the negative values (+45......-45), Even the deformation of PZT are not in the opposite direction. Can you please suggest me that how can i get rid of this error.

Hello Mr. Lee. I am a student trying to simulate ultrasound transducers. Your videos are really helpful for those of us getting started - thank you for showing all the detailed steps! I was able to reproduce the speaker harmonic analysis only after watching your other video. It helped make the connection between Harmonic Response + Acoustics ACT vs. Harmonic Acoustics. I only have access to Ansys 2020R2 or I found that it doesn't always work with the acoustics ACT. I see you are using 2020R1 with Piezo and MEMS ACT. Have you had any problems with the Piezo and MEMS ACT not supporting the newer version of Ansys?

Most ACT is developed by a common engineer. So the version update is late. When you use a different version of ACT, an error occurs sometimes. But the Piezo and MEMS ACT has simple code(Mechanical APDL commands). Do not worry. It works well on the latest Ansys version and we have no choice. Good luck~!! :)

In your video and example, you use box select function to select contact faces(part V_negative and V_positive), actually you select two faces, but ansys shows one face has been selected, I imitate you to build a model, when I use the same way to box select face, ansys shows two faces have been selected, and continue follow your example, define the negative volt as zero, I get the negative volt in the end, can you please guide me how to select this face as one or how to modify my own model. Can you please tell me your email, I can send you my own example(use version 18.1).

@@bochen4218 I made a share topology model in SCDM(or DM). The Share model has a 1 face between 2 pzt part so the V_Positive named selection has 4 faces not 8 faces. I thought your model does not share each part so you had to define the contact conditions. At this point, another problem has occurred. The contact condition has not volt dof. The Define Contact in the ACT menu tab, must define the volt dof condition into contact regions.

Hello! In the process of modeling the operation of piezoelectric elements, an error appears "The unit system of Command object(s) such as Static Structural>Commands (APDL) at the time of creation, differs from the solver unit system. Check your data and results accordingly." What could be the problem?

The same system of units must be used at all analysis system. Is the message type error or warning? If warning, check notification of unit system in the Commands snippet.

Hi Mr. Lee. This is a good tutorial, it is really helpful for me, thanks for that. Did you have a chance for manufacturing with such this analysis. I wondering either it match real model or not? Also you applied 1V for piezo crystal but we have seen V peak to peak 2V. How did it happen? Best regards.

Hi Yakup, I have no experience in manufacturing it. I just a software application engineer. However, our customers are trying to match it. The customers are faced a lot of problems with the material properties, parts assembly condition, damping ratio. In my video could not tell you about it so sorry. And then the 1V mean is polarized volt. It makes the electric field 0~1V in the PZT material through the thickness. In the Harmonic analysis(sinusoidal load analysis), the 1-volt load is applied -1~0~+1V so peak to peak volt is to be 2 volt.

How Can I add in my analysis this situations. Also, in the same time I dont want to add fixed or displacment support in modal or harmanic analysis. Because it effect them. Can You give an advice for it. I am really sorry for make you busy.
