Very well explained. I am working on a model which involves two structural analysis and a fatigue analysis on the second structural analysis only. The material reaches plasticity by end of first structural model and forces are applied on the plastic-ally deformed model in second structural model. I tried simulating the whole thing but ANSYS could not solve it because of complex geometry. Hope you can help me

Is this process applies to assembled geometries which have different materials as well? Because, I'm conducting buckling on solar panel setup. But, the results are not so so good. I mean the buckling is happening on the edge of the assembly.

Is External model and Finite element modeler both are the same? Because the ANSYS workbench manual says, Nonlinear properties cannot be supported in the external model.

Hi! First of all thanks for the tutorial. I am having a problem while updating the mechanical APDL: this is popping up "The solver failed with a non-zero exit code of : 1". I have a different geometry, may that be the reason ? Or this procedure works for other geometries as well?

Great tutorials. What does a negative load multiplier mean? Is it just the direction of the force applied? Should I define only positive load factors when I run my study if I have all loads in negative direction? Also, can I use same commands to export an optimized geometry rather than deformed? Thank you very much in advance.
@c3ramics
@c3ramics 3 жыл бұрын
I think it would’ve been that in order to induce said buckling mode, negative load factor is opposite direction

At 22min, why you used bilinear (EPP) material model and why not Elastic plastic materials model. While large deflation is on? Isotropic or kinematic hardening doesn't matter when it's Elastic Perfectly Plastic (EPP) is selected. Please reply. Thanks

as allways a good very good tutorial. my friend in this time i'm concernd about to creat a pilot node as in APDL. id like t know if it's possible to create a pilot node in workbench? thanks....
@ANSYS-India
@ANSYS-India 9 жыл бұрын
This is implemented with the REMOTE DISPLACEMENT and REMOTE FORCE options in WB. There is an option for rigid or flexible in the details panel of the object. This then internally builds the rigid region and pilot node. You can enter your loads/BC at a point in space with respect to the coodinate system of your choice. I hope, your query waa answered. Let me know if not!!
