Nice video, but sir at the interfaces of liquids you didn't apply any slip condition like I want to apply navier slip boundary condition at interfaces , so can you please apply Navier slip boundary condition at interfaces and make a video, as I'm not able to apply it using standard boundary condition as well as using UDF. Please........

Good video , please could help me with my two phase modeling which I need to patch the inlet surface with water and air because I have superficial vélocipède
@AnsysTutor3 жыл бұрын
In inlet boundary you could define the volume fraction of each phase. You should patch the volume of the geometry not the surface.

Great video, very interesting to know about multiphase problems. I have a question: is there some way to write the named expression in older versions? Because the "Named expressions" button doesn´t appear in my tree.
@AnsysTutor3 жыл бұрын
Named expression is available in latest versions ,for older versions you need to use UDF.

You can skip the patching of the second zone and its geometry.

How we can apply navier slip boundary condition at liquid interface and no slip boundary condition at walls? please answer or refer some documentation or videos , if possible.

You can apply such slip boundary if you choose the Turbulence flow model.

Hello, great videos, i am trying to do the same but with only one fluid and air and i can't figure it out. Also i am trying to add walls with thickness, not just lines but i am not sure how to name them (named selection), could you provide any tips? Thanks a lot!
@AnsysTutor3 жыл бұрын
In that case you dont need to add the species transport model. You can model the wall in ansys design modeller and provide the named selection to it. In cell zone conditions select the material for the glass.

Hello, just a quick question: why did you initially slice it into 3 bodies, when you only patched two phases? Wouldn't it be better to just slice it into two bodies?

We have 2 different liquid layers and one layer of air top of it thatswhy 3 bodies.

why you kept other options as default like using 2nd order upwind scheme as momentum discretization but first order upwind scheme as liquid layers 2? See the time 16:53 minutes in your video. Please explain . I know about these methods but not understanding your about the reason of your default options. Please Explain.
@AnsysTutor2 жыл бұрын
For more accuracy you can take second order discretization for liquid layer 2, it would generally take more time to solve.

The fluid 1 and fluid 2 that we used , are these any physical fluid or it's just imaginary fluid you considered? If it's physical fluid then mention them . Please

You can take any fluid, make sure that fluid have different density and denser fluid should be patched at the bottom layer.

why did we use patch option in the initialization part? It was not clear...

Patching is done to define the material in the respective part of the geometry. Which we can not define in any other way.
