Talking about the ghost of Senna... some of my friends from Australia were talking on social media recently and one mentioned "Hey remember that time we flew (model airplanes) with Senna?" and I was like... hold the phone, what? and damned if they didn't produce pictures to prove it true, it turns out a lot of my hobby friends were honored enough to hang out with him and share a passion for model aircraft!! Ant has clearly forgotten about the wonderful collection of "Is Born" TV shows with Mark Evans. A Car Is Born, A Car Is Reborn, A Race Car Is Born, A 4x4 Is Born, An MG Is Born. All multi-episode TV shows about building a single car. All of them but the MG one were 15 episodes each. He also did a light aircraft, a helicopter, and a few motorcycles.

If by any miracle Ant Anstead reads these comments (I doubt it) his Alfa program was not the first multiple build series of a car. Mark Evans did it over 15 or so episode with A Car Is Born. It was on Discovery back about 20 years ago. Really cool and worth watching. He also did a Jag, a 4x4, a plane, a helicopter and a trike. Check them out sometime. This was a great chat but I am looking forward to what's next for these guys.

If you want to split hairs, Porsche is a coach builder. See Throttle House's recent video where Jason Fenske calculated that there were 1.2 quintillion possible 2021 Porsche Panemeras from their options list. Add to that paint to sample, etc, and what makes them not a coachbuilder?

They design and build their own chassis and bodies. Coachbuilding is where you rebody/build a body (coach) onto someone else’s chassis

Is Eagle a coachbuilder? Is a coachbuilder? I believe this is may be one of those nebulous questions that has a loosely defined boundary, much in the same vein as "what is a sports car", which can get a lot of different answers from different people.
