Dude......... Majors is KILLING it at Kang. Just the tiny bit he was in this trailer was SO much more menacing than Thanos was even in Endgame. I wasn't expecting any of this but this movie has skyrocketed up to most anticipated movies coming out soon

@@Starsaber222 Scott doesn't get any respect. Captain America is getting his shield added to the Statue of Liberty. Scott is "employee of the century" at the Baskin-Robins that fired him. Kang is asking for help. He's going to try and make Scott feel respected. It's a good tactic and good writing.

I def agree that I can see this movie ending with Scott not winning, esp with Kang Dynasty coming. An Infinity War type ending would not be shocking at all! My wild card is that Ravonna or Loki shows up possibly, I really want some hint of something Loki/TVA related just to keep that thread going.

I am as excited for this as you guys!! To add to Hector's point about making Kang the villain for AntMan is that I feel like they made that decision partly because of how they established in Endgame how the Quantum Realm is connected, if not essential, with time travel. Thus having Kang be a _major_ part in an AntMan movie make perfect sense.

I love the fact that you guys always praise the VFX artists that work on these films. They are unsung heroes really. Much of the impact of the movies and this trailer in particular is due to the stellar visual footprint that the VFX houses produce. I also have to say, relative to that, one of things that Marvel movies VFX artists do really well, and it is something I noticed really in the first Guardians of the Galaxy film, is their metal shaders. They are light years above anything else I have seen in any other franchise. Producing metal shaders and normal maps for the models that the VFX houses generate is daunting and kudos to them for doing it so well.

Everything about this trailer was great. Setting up a very interesting story between Scott and Kang here, beautiful visually given it’s clearly all in the Quantum Realm, and of course Kang himself looks FANTASTIC in terms of costume design. About as close as you can get to a 1:1 comic to MCU translation. This is the perfect movie to start phase 5

This is possibly a great way to start phase 5. It has a Guardians Of The Galaxy look to it. I get goosebumps watching this with Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road in the background. What I like about this trailer is that they show just how terrifying Kang is by showing us that he knows who Ant Man is unlike the people at the beginning who thought he was Spiderman. The fact that kang knows who he is should tell Scott that this isn't someone he wants to mess with

Well, in the Comic Con trailer he didn't know Scott. Scott introduced himself as Scott Lang the Avenger to Kang. hence Kang, now making his offer, calls him Ant-Man.

the song "Yellow Brick Road" used in the trailer is obviously a reference to the Quantum Realm (in this case it talks about how the characters are forced into a place similar to the land of OZ just like Dorothy was in the Wizard of OZ) but the song also represents the end of one's journey or the end of a chapter in someone's life. We could see someone die or we could see the retirement of Ant-man.

I'm glad someone else caught the Wizard of Oz references! Yeah I had the same thoughts... Also the part where Kang says "I can get you home" just like how Dorothy tries to get the help of the Wizard. But the thing with this movie is.... It feels like there is a price to pay, having to make a deal with Kang.... And the price maybe too high (Gulp)!

This is a family of five super-heroes in this movie, 2 Ant-Men, 2 Wasps, and Stature/Stinger. All are super smart, with Scott as the dumbest, and he has a Masters degree. They need a Fantastic Four level threat.

I saw somebody’s comment on the trailer saying there’s gonna be a huge timeskip. It actually makes sense for Kant to bust out and start wrecking havoc because the timeskip might be at the time of Kang dynasty. The timeskip will be because they were in the quantum realm for a while

In Quantum Physics there are a handful of theories vying to explain how the works beyond the boundaries we can observe. One of them is infinite dimensions stacked on top of each other. Another is that the universes laws of physics simply change once we travel beyond what we can see and those places where the physics change is what we perceive as another dimension. Theres a version of Kang in the comics that has traveled beyond those boundaries and thats where he hides in the future. It feels like they are using the former theory of multiple dimensions stacked on one another, and instead of hiding beyond the boundaries of our universe he is hiding in a lower dimension, the Quantum Zone. I love how Marvel is using these real world bleeding edge scientific theories to play in the movies.

I’m 90% confident Hank and Janet will sacrifice themselves for a tearjerker ending. Maybe to be replaced with variants, but unlikely. It would be interesting if Scott dies, only to be replaced with a variant who never had kids. Sets up plenty of “You’re not my real dad!” opportunities. Plus they get to have their cake and eat it, too. Major character dies, but the actor is still in the MCU.

it's actually clever to have Kang living in the Quantum Realm, because the usual question when a universe level threat has been around for a while and we're only just seeing them for the first time is, where has he been hiding this whole time. In Loki he said how they wouldn’t like the other version of him. There’s nothing saying this Kang is the “Big Bad” Kangbof the MCU. He might be the Conqueror but not Immortus or some other, even worse, variant. Heck, they could make him a “good guy” like in Loki. Have a few versions show up and actually be rather helpful then have the big oh crap moment when the truly evil version shows up.

Brady Anselmi Nah this Kang is most definitely THE big bad to worry about. From the identical character design of Kang, to being labeled as such in the trailer subtitles, Feige saying this movie leads into Kang Dynasty, and the same writer for Quantumania is writing Kang Dynasty. All those factors being considered, I am pretty confident this is THE one. Not to say we won’t see other variants, we most definitely will. But this will be the most distinct and dangerous one

I love EVERYTHING about this trailer! But the one thing I noticed that a lot of ppl are skipping over but I simply cannot is Hope's look in this movie. Her suit always looked boss but if I'm not mistaken it looks like she got an upgrade and with the short cut, she looks just like comic book Janet van Dyne. In this new age where we're getting more comic accurate looks/costumes (Kang looks AMAZING!!!!) it feels so good to see our movie Wasp look like the source material.....plus I just think Evangeline Lilly looks sexy in this iteration of Hope. 😍🔥🙌
