Even though synergies are great it's unfortunate some champions require full synergy to be overpowered but not broken. I personally don't mind if a champion is broken as long as they require full synergies. Any tech champion is pretty much overpowered with the right mastery and War Machine prefight ability although it has it's limits. However there are champions that are overpowered without synergies like Nebula best counter in the game against robots. But with full synergy I have been able to take down ROL Winter Soldier in 33 seconds unboosted unawakened 6 star rank 3 Nebula and 25 seconds boosted. Even just with unboosted 4 star Nebula it took me 63 seconds to beat ROL Winter Soldier which only Cosmic Ghost Rider and Hela can do it faster. Mystic is probably going to be the last class with game breaking synergies because of Mystic Dispersion.

Techs are never known for big damage they have utility and ant man has tons of utility against everyone and kinda big damage too

They haven't really fallen at all. They still dominate most of the game. Especially when u have kitty, apoc, prof x, white mags, red mags, captain Britain, colousus, havok, gambit, Emma, storm (both) and many more mutants who still shred all other classes. Trust me it will take a while before mutants looses its power

Cosmic also has Herald ability although is not as powerful as mutant class I have been able autofight solo ROL Vision using 4 star Herald Hercules which only the mutant class can do against ROL.
