Having owned 4 series LR's I can attest to their simplicity and ease of access for working on. This kind of car needs to come back to us, not the over complicated domestic appliances we have now! If you can get a good one, cheap enough buy it!

Just so you know, a 14 mm wrench fits in that slot rather well. You just fit the sloped side of the jaw into that space and grab the other side with whatever will give you a good leverage. I like to use vice grips or channel locks.

Come on Ant, question why the transfer case seal was leaking, show people to check the breather, as an off-road vehicle it could be clogged with crud. No point changing the seal if you don't check anything, cos very soon the seal will leak again if the transfer case is pressurizing ☹️
