Eventually - Haven't been super focused on weightlifting shoes atm since I'm having some knee issues that I'm training around! Been a lot more hybrid focused, I tend to ramp up weightlifting come fall when it's not as nice out so I'm running a lot less

Finally! Anticipating the actual review, brother. And Jake, remember, while you aren't a dedicated WLer, Antas are absolutely dedicated WL shoes so I hope you give some attention to snatch and clean while you actually review them. Happy lifting!
@thatfitfriend Жыл бұрын
I don’t snatch heavier anymore, my dude, and won’t for this review. Two ruptured AC joints have limited my capacity to go heavy with em’ without issues, which sucks, but it ain’t worth dislocating my shit again for a third time, LOL. Only snatch if it’s lighter in WODs. I do have a PT looking at my shoulders this week because I do want to get them healthy enough to get more weight overhead in the snatch, and I might make content on that process, but again…not going to make promises or lie for review purposes. For that content, I’d suggest checking out some of the weightlifting athletes that run dope channels. Plenty of em’ to check out 🤝
@abadran8174 Жыл бұрын
@@thatfitfriend oh i forgot you told me that in the TYR review 😅SORRY. But yeah, it's all about the catch with these WL shoes. I can tell all I need to know about a shoe by snatchimg the empty bar. I know I'm buying that shoe I know this will stay with me like my Rom2s did but I know I'll enjoy your review eitherway. I really hope you would give rehab some time it really does incredible things.
@thatfitfriend Жыл бұрын
@@abadran8174 haha, you're good! Just want to make sure I disclose where my limitations lie...there are enough BS artists making reviews without me adding to them, lol. Yeah, I'm stoked to figure em' out! It's more for vanity to snatch more, tbh, and it's not like my shoulders are not functioning at all. Legit snatches are the only exercise that gives me issues these days, so we shall see!

The quality of this channel is provided by the admission that you don't own the first model and therefore you cannot provide any comparison. Other channels would just invent pros and cons on hearsay.
@thatfitfriend Жыл бұрын
Thanks, Dario. Yeah, as a trainer, you see it all of the time in the fitness world with folks constantly talking out of their ass on topics they're not well versed in and you see it a ton in the review space as well. Feel like I don't need to add to that noise/confusion, lol.

Thanks for the review. Would love to hear how they compare to many weightlifters' favourite, the Rom 2. The stiffer forefoot may be an issue with spilt jerk, which you obviously didn't test.

Two things. 1. I gave my rom 2s away forever ago, and 2. Jerks ain’t in the program atm - you’ll be better suited finding the comparison from others, imo, as I’ll be limited for that context.
