For those who feel this is just another "hoax", ask yourself this..... Why is it, Antarctica is the one continent that nobody can just freely visit? Why is the airspace above and surrounding Antarctica restricted? Why is there such a huge military presence if there isn't anything of interest there? As a military veteran myself, I can assure you, the military would not waste precious time, Military personnel, and millions of dollars on a hoax. I'm sure there will be those who laugh at this comment, but for the actual intellects, and thinkers, ask yourself this, if the only presence on Antarctica is Scientist and military, what exactly are they doing? Not to mention, all of the vintage maps show Antarctica as a jungle. Lastly, for those who live in the upper northeast of the US, have you noticed the warm weather lasting longer than usual? There was an author who wrote a book about the poles switching. His book and all his manuscripts were confiscated and banned from being published, and if memory serves me correct, he was even put in jail for a while. A documentary about Antarctica said that not only were there tombs found in a Pyramid like structure, but all the bodies in the tombs were 17ft tall. A few years after this documentary came out, it too was removed from television and literature.........but why? I am a firm believer that there is Definitely something going on there that is of extreme secrecy and value.

I hear ya and agree with the most part... but to answer your question about why they would have such a heavy military presence!? Its because they want to be the first to own and build when the ice melts because of the possibilities of rare minerals, and fossils. They might even be chipping away at the ice little by little already. Who knows but i couod imagine there is a whole civilization just frozen down there or alot of creatures that we couldnt imagine. I mean imagine how much gold, diamonds, and rare stones are hidden there.

Grown Man 101 I don't believe that there are military personnel at McMurdo Sound Antarctica any longer. I was there in 1969-1970 with CBU 201 as a Navy Seabee. The Seabees, and other regular Navy personnel were there for the continued construction of the base and to support the scientific research being done there. I don't know the exact date that the military support was withdrawn from McMurdo, Longwire Station, and the geographical South Pole, but I'm pretty sure that the base maintenance and additional construction is all in civilian control and though private contractors. We had all the "direct skinny" as to what was going on down there through some of the younger scientists from some of the Universities that were down there. If there had been found any Pyramids with the remains of any 17' bodies down there, we would have certainly heard the buzz. If not, we were certainly capable of making up such nonsensical rumors. Also why don't you do a deep dive and come up with the article about the guy who wrote the Pole Switching article that he was arrested for. Let us know your facts before you start trolling us with this cryptic and unfactual message. Also, the Seabees were there from the inception of Operation Deep Freeze to construct all of the US bases on "The Ice". The first operation was "High Jump". Get your facts in order by actually studying real history before trying to gaslight people that are actually in the know and have actually been there. Read "The Antarctic Treaty " of 1959 for starters.

Also the various nations in the Treaty have been doing scientific discovery for many, many years of what lies below the, at times, 15,000' ice shelves by doing core drills to depths of 1 mile or more to discover what lies below the deep ice. So I guess you could say that they have been "chipping away" at the ice for quite some time.

A airforce pilot from the 1940s said he was off course somewhere over Antarctica and while flying found a giant cave. He said he flew into that cave and inside it was a city unlike anything he's ever seen before, he also said two unknown air crafts guilded him out of the cave and prevented him from going back again.

@@mariahriley27 Myself and many of my fellow Seabee's have lived on several areas of the Antarctic continent from 1969 to the end of the military operations on "The Ice". The only time that any active outdoor construction or scientific explorations/research can be performed, is during the Antarctic "Summer". During the "Summer" the sun is directly overhead for 24 hours a day from September to March then drops below the horizon then total darkness sets in until the next September. The "Summer" climate is very, very cold with temps sometimes reaching -40°F. This is a very short window of time to make any significant new discoveries. If any unusual discoveries had been made, we'd have known about it, because people can't keep quiet about something highly unusual being found no matter how much they are told to keep quiet about it. If you haven't been there yourself, you have no grounds to tell me that I'm wrong. There are civilian jobs open for the McMurdo Sound facility. I suggest that you apply for one of those jobs and spend a year on "The Ice" then come back and tell us all about what you've learned.
