Antartica II - Evolution Album in Progress

Here I share with you a new musical creation in the Electronic music genre. In this case it is Antartica II Evolutions which is a new album in process, a variation of the style of Antartica Civilization, an EP that I released in April 2024.

The idea is to combine pre-established musical structures in a classical composition process and then improvise melodies, arpeggios, sequences and solos in the course of the session giving the final form to the composition. It is the most risky way of making music but full of surprises, artistic sincerity and spontaneous emotions. It also happens that something very curious happens in the process: I describe it as “quantum effect”, while I practice and define some passages or scenes there seems to be a magic in the process and the musical development, at the moment I turn on the camera to take the shot, that magic changes, it transforms. It doesn't happen that way with audio recording. Maybe it's my perception but I think that when the moment is observed, the reality changes. Naturally I take several shots until I find the one I like the most, but it is interesting to observe the phenomenon. That is why my recordings are constantly versions of versions and I am passionate, at least in this genre, that this is the case. This musical universe is what I want to share with you.
I am no longer interested in following an absolutely technical and elaborate pattern in detail to match my sound to the mainstream, my dedication is purely artistic and spontaneous, naturally I use tools: synthesizers and high-end sound equipment: the scenography. To achieve my goals, comparing Theater with Cinema, both are visual arts but what in one prevails the scripted performance but spontaneous and invariable in the line of performance, the other has no limits of visual exposure and improvement throughout the timeline. Illusion kills acting spontaneity, if I may use this analogy. In short: I try to avoid composing everything in my music program beyond the basics I need to improvise live. Using the camera is a stressful incentive as if I were composing live. Is it the lack of routine or the quantum effect? No matter, it's completely exciting and inspiring, highly ego-pleasing.
