I'm kind of biased because I don't have any analog recording hardware along the lines of compressors, reverbs, limiters, etc...just microphones, and just bought an Antelope interface (don't even have it yet), so would love to see more plug in topics on how that whole thing works...specifically, what a plugin in a DAW can do that a plugin that is housed in an external unit like an Antelope Zen, or Goliath, can't do...(as an example, if you wanted to record an automation move to achieve a specific effect in a song or project, I know you can record automation moves in plugins that are in the DAW and it will do that recorded parameter move every time you play the song/ project, but not sure if that is achieveable when using plugins that are housed in the Antelope unit). Also, I'm a little blurry on how to achieve these two "How to" categories when using the Antelope unit (how to monitor an effect but not record it to the track, and how to both record and monitor an effect to a track), in conjuction with a DAW in an "If...then..." way of explaining it: Example: 'If you want to hear an effect, but not have it recorded directly onto the track when recording, then here is how you achieve that'. (me personally, that is how my workflow would usually be: dry recorded track with all plugin processing done after the track is recorded, as to be able to refine after the raw track is recorded)...I'm thinking you would use a track's i/o feature in the DAW to achieve this, but not completely sure. Another topic would be the "can" and "can't" capability when using a multi-capsule modeling mic. Can you record using a dual capsule mic, like the Edge dual, and then change the polar pattern effect after (not sure how that even could be achieved after the fact without some kind of magic involved, unless they use a full on both capsule approach in a stereo format to record a dry stereo track, and then use the polar pattern switching function to adjust between the two recorded results), or can you really change the polar pattern after the fact, or once it is recorded that way, then that's it? I'll leave it at that for now, as to not write a book of questions...thanks for posting the videos that cover the Antelope units, and hope all at Records On Top are doing great!

Line and Mic Inputs can be padded up to -12dB.

Hi, I´ve been trying to add an insert to an auxiliar track on pro tools, were all my drum tracks go before the main out, and there´s no sound coming out, it only works on audio tracks, or if the aux goes to another auxiliar. Do you know how to fix this?

Try switching on-off Low Latency Monitoring from Pro Tools --> Options and see if it fixes it.
