Hi Frank, great videos!..... May I ask if you construct a stone model chairside is the patient not left with exposed dentist from some time while you contruct provisionals? Does this not lead to a lot of sensitivity? Thanks, Annette (Ireland)

Alexandra, Dr. Spear offers this answer: We make the model out of 50% Whip Mix mounting stone and 50% die stone, they set very rapidly, typically 5-10 minutes, so there isn’t much waiting time. If sensitivity was an issue, which it rarely is, you can place the copyplast matrix used to make the temporary in the patient’s mouth to cover the teeth while making the temporary.

Makarand, here is what Dr. Spear said: Here is a pdf I put together that shows the steps I use for cementation: spear.education/2cuTb48. The Gluma desensitizer is used primarily to prevent bacterial growth under the veneer temporaries since the Glutaraldahyde in it is highly antibacterial. The resin cement I usually use is from my light cured veneer cementation kit. I use the 3M product, but any resin cement will work fine.
