Not exactly, this is a version of the s300 that as i understand it is made to be used with a radar that is optimalized for tracking short and medium range ballistic targets as well as tree top level cruise missiles. The normal s-300’s primary task is denying aircraft access to an area. Where as the antey-2500 and the export variant antey-4000 have the primary task of ballistic missile defense. The s-350 is basically a version of the s-400 that carries 12 tubes and can only use the s400’s shortest range 9m96 missile And its own even shorter range 9m100. My thinking is the s-350 is ment to defend s-300 and s-400 sites from cruise missiless since it has a insane number of short range interceptors. 1 s-350 battery can comprise of 1-8 launchers with 12 missiles each for a total of 96 shots per battery. Incidentally that 9m100 missile is a variant of the missile used by another new air defense system called “42s6 morfey” this system carries 36 of those missiles on 1 vehicle. The missile itself is derived of the missile used by the TOR-M1 and appears to focus on extremly close range engagements of 8km or less. from what little is known about the system it appears to be a last line of defense against small UAV’s and cruise missiles or kamikaze drones that break trough the layers of air defense systems mentioned above.
