But to cut a long story short, this game's developement was so mismanaged, when the E3 demo dropped THERE WAS NO GAME, the devs didn't even know what the game was until it was revealed

If you're able to give them any ideas at all here's one. You can level your javelin and your pilot separately. Meaning regardless of which javelin you play your pilot will always level, meaning you can try every Jav and not have any maxed while the pilot is. If you go with one Jav to max you now have a very powerful Jav because of the pilot and Javelin level combined opposed to having a maxed pilot and a level 1 javelin, obviously this javelin would be stronger than your 1:1 (level 1 of both) character which will add replayability to the story and make the progression a bit faster after the fact of completing the story on your main/first javelin. This is just a thought 🙂 I can go more in-depth if you guys like I have sooooo much more theory crafting going on but I figured this little snippet is enough

Yeah pilot experience and javelin experience should be separate. Same with guns. I think to really make a personal, intimate feel is to make near everything skill exp based. So let's just say ralners blaze is your favourite gun, by using it, you gain proficiency with that gun, as you do, it gains more perks, like increased accuracy, reload times, damage... at the same time, it increases an assault rifle proficiency, as most handle similar, but not the same, so you become better with all assault rifles, but to really master a specific one, you have to use it loads. This way you can REALLY make yourself a legend in Anthem, they all talk about past Freelancers having their own iconic weapon or load out. Having gun, ability, mods, components and ultimate proficiency, means you can really go all out on one load out to make it YOURS. It would make grinding kills/xp/challenges and quests feel more personal because by going through it all, with your favourite chosen loadout, you will have things to show for it like increased mobility, flying speed and duration, gun damage, missile damage, combo damage, shields etc...even if, it's only a small percentage increase like up to 10%.

pilot affecting the Javelin stats is ridiculous. a leveled up pilot cannot make a level 1 Javelin strong. you need to level up and upgrade the Javelin to make it strong.

All I want to know is, "Will we have to Pay for Anthem Next?" Many people paid $60 or more for an Alpha, myself included and I will not pay one more cent for the game we should have had at launch. Anthem was my LAST chance for "EA BioWare" to prove themselves and we all know how that went. If this is a free update I'll give it another shot, moreover if it's actually good I wouldn't mind getting some cosmetics to support the devs having worked on it for going on 2 years now. I can't speak for everyone, but this is the ONLY way "EA BioWare" will get a 2nd shot from me, personally.

There's no reason to have such pathetic enemies in Anthem when they have examples such as Mass Effect, Elderscrolls, and Destiny.

From what you have discussed and speculated about I am ABSOLUTELY LOVING!! When I played Anthem back then I felt no love in the development of the Javelins and no real end game content or challenges. So I lost love for the game as it did not feel like I had to really work the best javelin build and invest my time in the game. From what I’ve heard it is now a game that I would happily invest my time and build my javelins in a specific way. And I feel that with the builds there is going to be very few that will be the same! I have still kept my copy of the game in hope of the game we all wished for back at release and it certainly sounds like we are finally getting it! Thankyou for the update! I’m going to take my sweet time pouring over the skill trees when they come out. 🤤 Planning ahead will be so much fun. The different concepts for primary and secondary weapons had me thinking when he mentioned one maybe being a kinetix weapon and they other being either energy, elemental, or status based. If that was the case they would probably need to reformat how the enemies fight too. Such as they suddenly have shields that are strong against kinetic weapons but weak to energy weapons while things like status effects are affected differently if at all. Now imagine if they also had tunneler type enemies? Hmmmm. 🧐 I would also like to see more underground and water type regions too. EDIT: 😞😣😭 And here we are about a year later. This game as a concept had SO MUCH promise but alas it was laid to rest after being born prematurely ( I apologize if is anyone is offended by my word choice). If anyone ever comes up with Full Immersion Gaming Tech this would be a great game to use especially if they were having issues fully translating touch and impact sensations by writing it off as “you’re in a suit of flying power armor”.

My issues with this particular blog though was that a lot of it wasn't them saying what they will be doing but just what they are thinking of doing, so it seems like there is no concrete road map of what they actually plan to do and are just saying what they're thinking of doing to test with the audience first before finalising what they will do, which is a good thing getting feedback, but then at the the same time its been going on a while now and a while since the last blog just to hear what they're thinking of doing and nothing much really set in stone.

Like any gamer, I was skeptical of Anthem after I saw the EA tag all those years ago, and I'm glad I didn't get caught up in the hype. That said, I always wanted this game to succeed, who doesn't like robot suits shooting and blowing stuff up? I was really disappointed to see it flop. However, I really appreciate your consistent coverage of the game, it's helped me at least keep tabs on it after launch and this is the news I've been hoping for. Bioware's issues with Frostbite still have me skeptical if the concept of Anthem can really become a reality, but I'm cautiously optimistic for now. Thanks for putting in the time!

So glad the changed there mind about the armor system. I like the idea of skill trees but I think for it to work you need to be able to reset the trees in tarsis for free. I'm actually liking the changes they're showing this time around so much more than the last round. I'm not sure how I feel about primary and secondary weapons until we see more. I liked being able to use any weapon combo on any javelin. (aside from big daddy titan stipulations, though those made sense) I'd actually be kind of annoyed if they took it in a more destiny direction. Definately more excited again. I think there's one thing that makes me worried is with the choice based system. I am open to it and I don't think I'll lose sleep over it, but I've gotten comfortable with the multiple slots for each javelin and taking a different Ranger or Storm on an expedition. This is mostly cosmetic as some items are more op than others but if they allow us to make multiple Colossus or any other javelin like we can now, I'll be happy. We'll have to see when the next blog is released. Also, while that is on the brain, What does everyone think the next blog will be about? I think it'll involve the pirates that Christian and others have been teasing for quite some time. That or the region we will be exploring.

i enjoyed what i saw, what i'm hoping for the advance skill tree is that it's kinda along the lines of the selectable subclasses, being able to switch between varients, like being a long bow ranger but in a raid that requires captian and if no one else fits that role being able to switch to that class with all of those earned skill point being applyed if only temparily to that class. eh i don't know i'm happy with what they choose ^_^

This starting to sound very promising I used to play quite a lot on ps4 just started again on the new xbox makes the game much better no frame rate drops no loading it's awesome

its is a rerelease if you own the game you get 2.0 its like that, i doubt they would make you pay again they would lose everyone

If I was thinking like a businessman id say this should be free, and then they charge for a 15-20$ expansion when the game is in a good state again and people actually feel like they weren't ripped off.
