I had the pleasure to see Michael perform live in a small pub in Springfield MA in the mid 90s?. It was beyond what I had ever seen any guitarist do with a band and an audience. I have had the pleasure of seeing legends like Freddie King, Muddy Waters, Johnny Clyde Copeland, Lou Reed, Warren Haynes (Thin Lizzy!) and many, many great musicians. I feel blessed I had the good fortune to see Michael Burks do what he loved to do. In my mind, he was the very best musician I have ever seen. period.

Unfortunately we lost Michael today. RIP Iron Man..you rocked them all!
