I already miss him, one of a kind, adventurous, humble, generous, kind, articulate, intelligent, unexpectedly altruistic, talented handsome, humorous chef/writer/storysteller of our time, honest to a fault, open with his demons,, chased fun, loved life, loved his daughter, heart crushed beyond belief when woman he loved was with another. I just thought of something really funny when listening to Bourdain talk about Ripert and their friendship.. it's Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley as best buddies. Michael Jordan said that he wishes he could say the things Charles Barkley says... I get the feeling Ripert feels the same about Bourdain. Of course the foodies will probably never understand this point... probably not many sports fans.
