This song actually saved my brothers life. He was on a downward spiral, using heroine and other hard drugs. When he head this song song and saw the the video it hit him so hard. He came out to our family and asked for help and now he's in rehab and doing amazing. I couldn't be more proud of him. I don't want him to get pulled back in. Thank you Anthony for saving my brothers life.

After recently hearing of Anthony's relapse, I truly hope he can look back on songs like this and realize his own words are the reason that so many fans are still with us today after finding the strength to overcome their demons through his music; and is able to defeat his own with the same support he's given us. We love you, man.

Tbh methadone clinics are life savers. It's so hard to stay clean from opiates, until you've become a new person IMO. And since one relapse can kill you, methadone can give you the opportunity to become that new person. There is more to it than drugs and counselling. They work with your doctor, advocate on your behalf with drug charges. Not to be that guy, its just the stigma around Medication assisted therapy like methadone and Suboxone is what stops people from going and potentially saving their lives. There's literally no other barrier. Them find funding for you to go if you don't gave insurance and cant pay, and they'll even provide you with free rides which you can schedule yourself. Lots of them open at 5am or stay open until 10PM, so even if you're working, if you're struggling give it a shot and save your loved ones from grieving. Shit is too powerful geese days and any drug can be laced with it.

Anthony commented about this song and said they were lyrics he wrote before James was born and he was failing Meredith in marriage and was fearful of failing his children as a father. I am in a very similar place in my life where I am expecting a child and am doing my best not to fail my relationship. So here's my perspective. The song is titled you'll be fine which is him titling these lyrics from the past in the present. The "water monster" doesn't just represent addiction but he represents fear in general. I think all of us get lost in this state of fear where it's literally drowning us and our significant other may want our love and attention but they can't see that we can barely breathe. It's a state of mind that we trade off in our relationships and only empathy will help us see this pain in each other.
