Sir Anthony Hopkins🙏. In his 80s already 😱( where did time go?) and stil going strong. One of the true Greats (Legendary-status right there)and one of the best Actors Humanity has ever produced.

Eh, he's young yet. He's English! Watch. He'll still be going strong in 20 years. Look at Queen Elizabeth. Look at Mary Berry. I've known a great many English people over the years. They're all lived to their high 90's and could go out dancing any night of the week. Maybe it's all that fog. ??

38 thumbs down ?? WTH ?? This man Anthony Hopkins is a true master of his art, and a true gent. I'm not referring to acting, but if I were a thousandth of this mans positive attitude and aptitude, I would be ten times the man I am. He is a legend in my eyes.

I hate news interviews. You have Anthony Hopkins! Don't interrupt him! He has so many good things to say and she, like any anchor-type person, is more worried about her questions! Such a waste... Love Anthony Hopkins, he's brilliant

Omg - for real - that was really rude of the interviewer to interrupt him like that. He was trying to make a point and she totally cut him off. Not cool. He is beyond brilliant - the best ❤️

Sir Anthony Hopkins has always been my favorite actor since watching The Edge. He is an amazing actor, who inoculates each and every role with vibrant life and strength. His personification of Robert Ford in Westworld is a unique piece of art.

I am Welsh, from West Wales - slightly further west than Sir Anthony's own Port Talbot. And I can tell you that there is a darkness of the soul and a cruelty within families in these parts, a hardness of the heart that is disguised by ribald humour but also by high culture, a very unusual tendency for brilliance in the creative arts, and just everyday warmth. The origins of this racial dasein ache are unknown, but must date back thousands of years, reinforced again and again throughout that time by seemingly endless cycles of loss, defeat and hardship. When I hear a man of such utter nascent talent and total commitment to his art talk with such a patient reflective depth about the source of his nature, all I feel is healing and hope - for myself, for Wales and for everyone. I think this is how we all feel when, quite by chance, we're touched by a magnificent soul that finds its voice.

Watching this is a bit like watching the interview Edward R. Murrow did with Marilyn Monroe. Someone else could do a fascinating interview with her, but not Murrow. He didn't belong there, he was a journalist. He needed to be doing exposes of red-baiting senators or something, not interviewing movie stars. Same thing here: Hopkins has a lot to say and another interviewer could draw it out of him with much more finesse than Christiane Amanpour did. She's a journalist, not a conduit for entertainment. She belongs in a war zone, that's her element. Not the studio.
