Maron is just upset that his political team is (rightfully IMO) getting goofed on now. He thinks goofing on one side means you are “for” the other side because that’s the world of comedy he comes from. It’s good for a diverse society when everyone, not just Christians, white dudes, and Republicans, can be goofed on when they say/do silly things. I think people enjoy that Rogan isn’t interested in limiting his comedy to making fun of only the ridiculous things about the political right and it’s refreshing for them to hear other comedic perspectives on society.

Weird reference, but Mike's 'beggy monster' sounds almost identical to a character I saw/heard on an ep. of American Dad where Stan uses Roger to enter Francine's dreams. While in her dream state, he encounters several 'versions' of himself from his baby side to his feminine side, etc. One of the 'Stans' he encounters is his insecurity, and he sounds almost exactly like Mike's Beggy Monster. I hope this knowledge enriches your experience.

Joe Rogan has never been funny in his life, all of his "jokes" are shouting and screaming outrage. Anthony Jeselnik is a sholar of comedy and his deadpan delivery is genius. Dave Chapelle is on video saying he loves Joe but he doesn't make him laugh, he's also on video saying Anthony Jeselnik had him in stitches.
