Emanuel would’ve sniffed him out long before anyone else, he could spot the real ones , the ones that wanted it the ones that could take it. I think he would’ve thought the same of Joshua like he did David Price , he was big on price but I’m not sure whether he’s tough enough or can take the pain, he picked Tyson Fury and Wilder to go on to be champions even when they only had something like a handful of fights .

Lennox "mentored" Frazer Clarke for his recent fight Fabio Wardley. It didn't end well for Frazer. Lennox has also "trained/ mentored" Hasim Rahman's son. Joshua is an experienced pro and doesn't need mentoring from Lennox Lewis.

Lennox is a great example of a pugilist that fought the absolutely best of his era, made lots of $$$, retired at the right time & grew his financial empire after retirement. @@peterfalvytamas2912 I don't really see Tyson as in his era, their fight certainly didn't mean a lot. Bowe clearly ducked him so I have to give Lewis the edge there. Where Holyfield is concerned, he beat him conclusively in two fights, but I would say Holyfield showed that if he was a few years younger he would have given Lennox more problems. Vitali wasn't robbed, he got his face taken apart by an aged Lewis. He did the smart thing retiring, you cant blame him for that. Lennox lost to McCall for 2 reasons. 1st is Manny Steward noticed he had a rude stance and would take a split second longer to land a right hand, so he trained McCall to throw a short right hand simultaneously with Lewis and he would beat him to the punch which he did. Second is that Lewis was at his best when he took away his opponents weapons early then gradually broke ppl down and took them out. His trainer was a loud mouth motivational speaker type like Steve Crocodile Fitch and advised Lewis to go out there and take McCall out. Now, nobody knocks out Oliver McCall. He’s sparred hundreds of rounds with Tyson and nobody ever put him down. Terrible advice!!! Lewis could’ve kept it long and peppered him with the jab then slowly started to let the rest of the arsenal go and he would’ve beaten him on points or stopped him on his feet late on. The rematch was bad timing for McCall but we saw what Lewis with the right tactics does to him.

Lennox shouldn’t waste a second more time thinking about helping Anthony Joshua. He just doesn’t deserve any help from him. He called Lewis a ‘clown’ a few years ago. Totally disrespectful. I think AJ thought that HE was going to be better than Lewis and that just shows how arrogant Joshua is. He really has thought his whole career that HE is the best thing ever. You could even still see this arrogance when he was saved by the bell at the end of the first round against Dubois. The bell went and when AJ got up and realised he was saved he stuck his tongue out at Daniel. He was also banging his chest like King Kong while taking another count, as if HE had just knocked Daniel down. WTF? SHEER ARROGANCE.

Lewis just wants his name out there he’s being passive aggressive because he’s very egotistical and always has been if you were around in the 90”s you know what I’m talking about . Anyway he’s not the guy you can trust , Manny Stewards protege is and that’s Ali Bashir the trainers of Klitschko and Usyk .

Walking away from the klitschko rematch was such a let down, the world wanted that fight, finally he had a serious challenge, terrible way of going out. He knew he had a serious chance of losing.

Lennox was almost 38 and Vitali was 31. Lennox already had victories over Tyson, Rahman, Tua, Botha, Holyfield, Briggs, Golota, Ray Mercer, Morrison, McCall, Bruno, Tony Tucker and Razor Ruddock and was only going to slow down. Were none of those a serious challenge? It was the perfect way to finish his career. Far from disappointing

Lennox was fully intent on continuing his career before the vitali fight😂, the perfect time to walk away lmao everybody wanted that rematch and he skipped town, I could pick apart the resume for example mccall was out of crack rehab before their rematch and had a break down in the damn ring. Vitali was probably the only opponent lennox had that was same height same weight same amateur pedigree as Lewis himself and he bailed out .

haha good one. Tyson ducked Lewis for 6 years, got stripped of his wbc title for refusing to fight lewis, even paid lewis four million not to fight him, turned down two huge offers to fight lewis, it's all well documented, tyson was terrified of lewis, even admitted after they fought ''i couldve never beaten this guy, he's too big and too strong, a masterful boxer''. Mike isn't even the second best of that era either, that goes to holyfeild.

@fusion454 why not? Lennox is a role model not just for his sporting accomplishments but his conduct. Gentlemanly, family man, articulate, retired at the top, kept his faculties, wealthy, looks in good shape and stayed handsome. That's a great example, no?
