That he is sitting more on his punches is only since he has lost his speed which he will need against usyk. Fury’s biggest wins are old man klit, wilder (who has 0 wins of his own) and whyte who was shot to bits. You need a reality check, fury is 6.7, much slower, doesnt punch as hard as you think he does and certainly doesn’t have the stamina. Just look at his punch output. Joshua has never solved his stamina issue. When he bursts into action and throws combinations at full intensity he will send almost anyone to the canvas, he is that powerful, but it absolutely empties his tank and he needs 3 or 4 rounds to recover, during which he is totally vulnerable. It happened against Klitschko and he was fortunate Vlad was too cautious to fully take advantage of it and finish him off, it happened against Ruiz, it happened again with Usyk. After two intense rounds 8 and 9 you can see his legs were gone, a more powerful opponent would have dropped him in the last 2 rounds.

When AJ did that he hurt Usyk but in the 7th round he came to claim the middle of the ring, that was EGO, Fury would have won that fight. Fury can make the fight boring but the AJ should not have fought Usyk the way he did, he could have continued with the way he fought Ruiz in the second fight and he wouldn't even need to move too much bcos Usyk moves too so he would have gotten more time to pounds on him in the later rounds.

Fury no longer has the type of movement and footwork he was known for earlier in his career. He's much more reliant on using his size to wear opponents down. That's why I think he looked bad against Ngannou, he finally ran into someone stronger than himself he could not push around.

Looking back, its like AJ did better that Fury especially in this second fight. ..... Fury was saved by both the Ref and the bell. Usyk even absorbed an upper cut from Fury ...... now it is clear why Wilder and Fury avoided AJ ....... styles make fights and AJ really hits Hard, thats what made the 2 fights with Usyk a real master class from the Usyk angle. He never allowed AJ to hit him with clear combination ...... the effect of the AJ combination was clear to see in the Ngannou fight ....... styles make fights indeed.

Usyk’s defense is underrated. He’s so hard to land clean on and sustain the punches. He simultaneously covers up both head and body amazingly well while he’s coming in and going out, and circling constantly right before your very eyes at a safe distance punching away with not breaks. He would cover up and move as soon as he gets hit to avoid the avalanche, and just then, goes back into circling and punching mode like a locomotive. In the end, the opponent get mentally and physically exhausted from having to chase him around, round after round. Amazing talent and finesse on display. Wow🤩! My heart says Fury but my mind says Usyk. Unless Fury can KO him, I doubt how any man can outland him. This should be a great fight 🥊 for all the marbles. May the better man win 🥇.

Usyk is really talented, good footwork, lots of punches and fairly good defense. AJ took a lot of shots but probably landed the biggest shots of the match and usyk was still standing. Impressive. No shame in this result for Joshua, he did well and went toe to toe for most of the match. Usyk was just slightly better on the night. I personally think these two are the best heavyweight boxers in the world and AJ will get his hands on these titles again. Only a matter of time

Agreed, yet Fury messed around in those later rounds and got clipped. Usyk is not a fighter to let off the hook, Fury should've continue to increase the pressure. Also AJ lost those later rounds, he threw more power punches yet Usyk was busier and landed cleaner shots. I'm Team AJ all the way yet he fairly loss to the better fighter on that night.

This was very close. Usyk is too fast for the current generation of HW boxers. He neutralises the size and strength advantage of his opponents with speed and skill. He will only lose if he is KOed. Otherwise, he will almost always win on points because of his higher strike rate.
