Awesome! I believe it was the show that made him famous. He’s a great actor. I love his acting. And yeah, “WAT” is an awesome TV show. He was also in “Annabelle 2” where he played that local man who lived in that big house.

Wow,with the inflection of the American accent on his Australian accent makes him sound slightly Irish every so often! It’s as if the 2 countries met in the middle and ended up in Ireland!!

Most Americans have Irish ancestry. A lot of American accent sound Irish anyway. Google it. Its basically the reason why there's white people in America.

@@andresuston7692 Italian and australian men as Peppino Di Capri and Chris Hemsworth for example are very handsome and elegant in a classic and a very metrossexual way, but they are too white for my taste. A prefer american, brazilian, canadian, english, french, german and swedish men because they are all the sexiest men in the world.🤩🤤

That nice place with nothing going on, a small town as he describes, is Adelaide. I suppose it’s like arguing having 5 million dollars ‘isn’t a lot’ and barely qualifies as rich because I’d argue the same for Adelaide, it’s the capital of its state and the 5th biggest city in Australia with about 1.3 million residents.

Wonder why he ‘lost’ his Australian accent? Given that he was in his 20s when he moved to the US it’s a choice he’s made.
@zegfeldmobata4160 Жыл бұрын
He stated in some other interview I read that he purposely got rid of it to get acting gigs when he was starting. Then few years back he stated that he regrets that he lost the accent.

A small town? Yeah, right Anthony. You grew up in the South Australian capital of Adelaide with a population over 1 million. Not EXACTLY a small town. As for excitement, Adelaide is the murder capital of Australia and used to be the host city of the Australian Grand Prix. It hosts the tour downunder cycling event every year and runs the largest festival in Australia every four years and other multicultural events like the Octoberfest (German), Greek and Italian festivals yearly .. just to name a few things. No, he moved for fame and fortune, that's obvious.
@garybaldwin95635 жыл бұрын
Sandra Jones he moved there not by choice... I'm sure his real parents never stopped looking for him. His wife of 13 years must be livid that she lost a wonderful man in her life.. I am sure he's still and always will be loved no matter what.. they say love never dies, it just takes time to get back to you.. great actor and looks like a great family man.. wishes you well Mr Anthony lapaglia... hope all is well with you and your family! Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

His American accent sounds so fake. I've heard of another Australian actor who fakes an American accent, Dominic Purcell, and it's because he finds it hard to switch between an American accent and his Australian accent, but at least he's fluent. I suspect LaPaglia fakes for the same reason. The better Australian actors, like Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman, obviously don't need to do this.
@lourdesbaby9645 жыл бұрын
Randomfully Wonderful It may sound fake but you do pick up accents where you live, without even trying,they just rub off on you. I’m Irish living in England,people here say my Dublin Irish accent is still strong after 40 years,but when I go back home to Eire they always ask in which part of England do I live!! They hear inflections of English. Also,I lived in Italy for 16 years and I speak Italian with a Venetian accent,having lived and learned Italian there! It’s just natural and normal. Can’t be helped!

Julian McMahon is another one...also Mel Gibson. Watch interviews of him promoting the first and second Lethal Weapon....then fast forward to 2 years later when he's promoting LW3...Aussie accent dead and replaced by crummy generic US accent

@@rampageclover9788 Mel Gibson isn't Australian, though, he was born in the United States, and lived there until he was 12, then moved back to United States as a young man, there's no comparison there. I haven't heard any interviews of him speaking in an Australian accent.
