RIP Anthony Mason. Draymond wishes he was half as smooth as Mase in his prime. If he was playing in todays wide open style- he would be a bonafide star no doubt.
@tw69hands2 Жыл бұрын
Mase would be a superstar now. No one would defend him or could. He'd be too strong, agile, and aggressive. And you know no one would try to fight him or even trash talk.

I remember I saw Mason at Basketball City in NYC long ago playing pick up agasint C. Billups, C. Smith, D. Wesley, S. Smith and a few others. He was a man amongst boys. His skill was so off the charts he didn't even show his full skill set in the NBA. He had the 3 ball too he was dicing dudes up with the handles.

If you watched a bit of old school NBA when you see somebody scoring with Rodman on his shoulders and shaking him off like a rag doll...well, you know that fella is definitely a strong skilled dude.

When i was watching Anthony as a Knicks fan, he didn't handle the ball very much. I didn't know he was this talented. His play with the Knicks was exceptional but he didn't dribble and Almost never a jump shot from 20+ feet. Nobody could take the ball away from him.

As shared someplace else, found oneself collecting his cards to the point having 3-4 pages of his in a four-panel binder. Some claimed his trade with Larry Johnson was lopsided favoring the Knicks, but his stint in Charlotte were his breakthrough years (1996-2000), culminated with his first and only All-Star appearance in Miami. It’s just sad downward spiral capped his career when moved to Milwaukee, reported out of shape and ruined team chemistry. Nonetheless, leading the league in minutes and did so in 82 games (42-plus mpg in 1995-96) perhaps won’t happen again in today’s NBA.

Anthony Mason is stronger than all of today's nba players combined, the fact that MJ averaged 35 ppg vs him means he would average 80 in today's nba where defenses are non existent with spacing all the time, MJ would have also developed a 3 point shot, shooting 45% with 6 attempts.
@steveguse44816 ай бұрын
Truth. Jordans 3pt shooting was already good tbh...if he was open it went in almost 100% of the time. With today's spacing would be crazy

He must’ve played as guard at one point in his younger years. He has a solid handle for his size and strength.

Maybe. But it is New York City thing. We play with a lot of dribbling. So even big guys like a Lamar Odom will have handles. Not sure what to Ron Artest though 🤷🏽♂️
