He was welcomed back into polite society with open arms. Took him another four years to get made: more work to be done. His dad chose not to be made and had at least 40 hits under his belt among which Anastasia and Joe Gallo. All the made guys called him 'don' because he always got the job done.

But did your dad come back talking about killing 300+ people and being trained by the Marines and having Marine tags but serving with the Army? They asked this guy in an interview what his MOS was and he said "Just to kill". This dude is full of hot air.

Just to run through a few things. In the US in 1969, murder one was murder one whether you were 16 or 116, in some states even at 16, it carried the death penalty. Tony Cigars claims if you murder someone aged 16 in NY state you get seven years in some kind of special deal which no one has ever heard of. That's a slight fracturing of the truth because it carried a 30 year mandatory and it carried a death sentence until 1965 when legislation was changed to only execute those who murdered police officers. Tony doesn't tell you this. Most of the paperwork Tony produces are for minor felonies. Nothing is for aggravated assault, carrying unregistered firearms, robbery etc. All convicted fellons in organised crime have a criminal record six inches thick before they digitized the records bureah. A six inch thick file of criminal activity of the worst kind from an early age including common assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, armed robbery, theft (especially hijacking), autotheft and other motoring offences, common burglary, extortion, bootlegging, racketeering, firearms felonies and a whole lot more including homocide. They rarely spend most of their life out of jail, most spend 30 to 50 years in jail out of an average 80 year life with no exceptions apart from informants. Tony produces a few felonies which quite frankly are not the work of a Capo but maybe a very minor associate and that's why he's on the list he produced. The mafia have thousands of minor associates and Tony is one of them. Tony knows all the names of all the organised crime leading figures but unfortunately none of them know him and his family links to the major NY crime families are tenuous, statements such as 'my mothers 4th cousin was married to Lucky's 3rd cousin' etc etc and none of it can be verified. He's good at name dropping. He knows the area, knows 'of' the crime families but doesn't actually belong to them. Michael Franzese for example, an FBI verified informant who ran a multi million dollar fuel station extortion racket in NY and NJ on behalf of the Colombo crime family has never heard of Tony cigars. I'll bet Sammy the Bull hasn't heard of him either who was Gambino. What we have here is a minor felon pretending to be a John Gotti type character. It was interesting that Tony Cigars said that the Colombo crime family were involved in the Lufthansa heist. It is well known both in law inforcement and within organised crime that the Lucchese crime family were entirely responsible. The people Jimmy Burke had murdered were all Lucchese crime family members or known associates. That's in the public record, no Colombo family members or associates were murdered. If Tony Cigars was on that heist he'd be sleeping with the fishes because Jimmy killed everyone that was involved on orders from Paul Vario. That was so Jimmy and Paul could take their share, just greed.

On March 29, 1973, the last American combat soldier, Master Sgt. Max Beilke, left Vietnam, completing the American military withdrawal. President Richard Nixon had announced on January 23, 1973 that the United States and North Vietnam had signed an agreement to end the war. If this guy was born in 1953 he would be 20 when the last soldier left. Why hasn't anyone asked him when he arrived in Nam??? So they are going to send a sniper to Nam when the war is winding down???

i pulled Raimondis record (FOIA) he attended Coast Guard Scout Sniper school while serving time in the restitution center. Upon completion 3rd Battalion 7th Marines recruited a platoon of convicted felons most serving prison time to insert deep behind enemy lines in Cambodia and Laos. The Marines were told they were now Army Soldiers, but.. The training consisted of lookin for wind, watching trees move and things like that. Raimondi served alongside Carlos Hathcock and Hemingway (Jason Blaha) although Hathcock favored a M2 .50 cal Raimondi mostly used a paperclip cause its silent er. The 300 confirmed kills are listed and most were indeed killed in tunnels wit bazookas. This man is a national treasure and should be shown respect.

Yeah he went around launching rockets into places he couldn't reach with his sniper rifle. Dispatched onto foreign terrain for years, doing hit after hit. He got to know the Cambodian landscapes real good. After the war ended, the feds kept their word and expunged his record. They flew him back in. Upon arrival in a secret airbase he waved away a team of medics, walked by a five-star general without saluting and went on his way into the Arizona desert. He didn't get honored, but he never was in it for the honor. He just did the work in order to enable him to continue doing work domestically.
