Anthony Richardson has 6 turnovers only 3 weeks into the NFL season. Richardson, who was picked 4th overall by the Colts, was deemed a project QB that was years away from being able to start in the NFL, and so far, that's exactly what he has looked like. Starting a raw, incomplete project QB and immediately thrusting him into the starting position is a recipe for complete failure in the NFL, and more times than not ends up with said project QB being a bust because of simple mismanagement. Enjoy the video!

@@doctad11p I can agree with that. I think athleticism is overrated. We've never seen a QB that is highly athletic win a championship, not Cam not Vick not Lamar. Hybrid QBs like Mahomes and Russell Wilson have atheticism that compliments their passing, its not the main part of their game. Championship football is still dominated by QBs that are consistent passers. The whole narrative around AR is that he has the athleticism, and if he can improve at passing he'd be a great QB. I dont think improving at passing is that easy. I think some guys have it and some guys dont. And from what we've all seen from AR he just doesn't have it. He seems like a highlight guy, not a championship guy. And I hate to write off a QB this early into their career, but if he won't ever lead your team to a championship then he's not the guy.

But hear this out: Anthony Richardson is a project that’s gonna take time. He hasn’t used his arm properly since his surgery, so he needs to get post surgery control back. He needs a whole year to play. I agree with not starting him over Flacco, so he can learn more but he needs some play since he started like 13 college games. This is his 7th nfl game in his career. Go watch Josh Allen’s first 2 years. He’s young and has a lot to learn. He has time to be better. Hopefully the colts can turn this guy into the franchise player he can be.

Let’s be real here. Ballard drafted AR so he could keep his job a little longer than he should’ve been allowed to. Irsay wanted to throw AR to the fire like this because he is fried and thinks he deserves the credit for lucking out on drafting the 2 best QB prospects to ever come out in Manning and Luck and pretty much held them back from being even better. AR is not a natural thrower. He just goes out and throws as hard as he can. They have everything you could want around him.

It blows my mind that all of these NFL teams fail to learn from the lesson that Green Bay has been teaching for 30 years about how to handle a quarterback Green Bay has had what 30 years of top QB play when will they learn? What I want my Carolina Panthers to do is trade Bryce young because I want gone keep Andy Dalton and then have whatever Young quarterback we think might be our franchise sit behind him and then wait until Andy Dalton chooses to retire if Andy Dalton keeps playing good and takes us somewhere I would say he deserves an extension and if he wants to retire as a panther I would welcome it. A lot of panther fans are saying we should get what we can for young and then have plumer sit behind Andy Dalton learn from him and then when plumer is ready put him in as the starter, now I don't know if Jack plummer is the guy but I do think we should get what we can out of Andy Dalton while we have him.

You should say that about Peyton Manning. The guy still holds the record for INTs as a rookie. He wasn't amazing right out the gate. He wasn't amazing the next year or the next year. A QB has to develop and its hard the interesting thing i think for AR is that he has to play. Nothing around it he has to play and the main problem was the Florida Gators didn't play him at all. He had what one season or something on the field. He didn't get hurt but its different when you aren't playing as much as he has too now. He has the talent but its going to be hard as the Colts have to force that talent out of his ass. Nothing against AR but he has to take care of himself and fix some issues and the next thing people will be talking about is how did the Colts turn him into a superstar. If they give up on him then they will just look like failures and i don't think Jim Irsay will give up on him. Just like he believed in Peyton Manning to grow into the superstar he turned out to be.

Instead of being the next Cam Newton (play-wise) I fear he's going to be the next JaMarcus Russel . . . tons of potential, but never realized. And can we PLEASE stop putting him into situations where he's going to get hurt? You would think the Colts would have learned that after destroying Andrew Luck, but it doesn't appear to be the case. Put a leash on him, so he can live to play another day. Among many other things, that's part of what made Peyton great . . . reliability.
