If you dip your brush in soap and remove the excess the latex washes right out as long you get the latex before it dries :)

It does indeed but it takes a huge amount of time. Take thin brush instead of the spatula, will safe you time ;)

Miguel dejesus around 6 hours, the latex application is very tideous and most time consuming. And the color application would work easier with an airbrush, which I dont have ;)

really cool! I also did Nightcrawler and my make up artist used eyelashes glue to make the scars and worked well too. She also used air brush that made it quicker to apply the makeup. what did you put to make it glossy/shiny?

Lash glue is basically liquid latex too, it might be more handy though since it comes off a tube. Anyway, I wish I would have had an airbrush ;) Would have made the application way easier. The glossyness if from an eyeshadow.

John Michael I simply watched the DVD on my laptop and took screenshots of the scenes where he is shown in close ups. And then I re-sketched the pattern on paper and made it symetrical for both sides of the face.

Emil E it is plain grease paint and eyeshadow, not magic ;) an airbrush would do an easier colour application though.

Hey Beth, it's hard to speak for other people. It took me around 6 hours but I have to say that I did this look for just one single time, this video ;) The application of the scars takes quite a while, but with a brush instead of the palette knife I did first, you should be able to safe time. An airbrush would also be very handy for the colour application in the end because you wouldn't have to touch the latex all the time. Its fragile ;) But regarding those time safers I would at least plan 4 hours. And practice is required first :) hope that helps.

Anthony CookMUA I didn't wanna be bothered with pointy ears and a tail so I decided to do a hybrid version of Nightcrawler and Mystique instead :) With scales instead of scars, I'm gonna use blue body paint, the aqua cream from mufe my face and the same kilo shimmery eye shadow you used ^^

Liquid LLatex is sold by Ben Nye & Cinema Secrets and I am sure there is a lot more brands who sell stuff too. Kryolan is available in the US too and Mehron. For things like eyeshadow you can to Ulta or Sephora.Coloured lenses are sold by camo eyes. Just ask google ;)

haynsuperman808 Thanks for the compliment, its hard to say how much all was. The hairspray is cheap, so are the makeup supplies except the latex. But you just need a tiny amout of latex so its not overly expensive. You can get rather cheap contact lenses and the colour is just grease paint and eyeshadow. I guess excluding a costume to the look it would be 20 Dollars?

Hey Nick, I don't what you consider a decent price. The pots are around 5/6 Euros in Germany & Holland. The question is where you are from. If it is the US you cannot buy from there website. But Kryolan which is available wordlwide surely has a similar shade of colour.

redskyongallifrey its a combination from grease paint and eyeshadow and yes it can rub off. Regarding colours you could tage graftobian magic set and a dark blue loose pigment. The magic set makes it sweat and waterproof plus it moves with the skin and doesn't crack off.
