Excellent tutorial Anthony! Thanks for adding the bit at the end about the lead work. Until you pointed it out, I didn't realize it's just E major pentatonic notes. Sounds great and easy to play along with the record!

Yeah !!! Thanks a lot Anthony ! I really like it as usual ! What songs are you planning on doing next ? If you have time, could you teach us “Stand by Me” (by Oasis of course haha) like you did with “Don’t Look Back in Anger” and “Live Forever”, meaning a bit more detailed on the lead guitar ;) That would be absolutely fantastic! Great tutorial once again, keep on uploading mate !

Hello Theo again! Yeah thanks for the great suggestion, Married With Children is a bit of a cult favourite! Haha I know what you're saying with the lead guitar, honestly the only reason I didn't go into more depth was because there's no definitive start or stop to the lead guitar in this one, it just sort continues on and on haha! I'm always up for doing more Oasis, I might give bands like Blur, and Stereophonics another look in for the next couple of videos! I can tell you 'Cigarettes and alcohol will definitely be my next Oasis one for sure though!!

Very small request/recommendation -- can you switch your "Hi guys, thanks for tuning in" with the example you're teaching? Leading with the example lets us know if it's what we're looking for or something we'd like to learn quicker. Thanks for your work. Love the Oasis stuff.

You sould have discussed the strumming too as you seem to strum open strings between your barr chords

Hi, I know this makes me sound dumb as a stump and I’m new to this so I don’t care how stupid I look. How are you strumming it? How would a dunce like me go about the strumming pattern? If anyone answers, thanks a lot.

Hi Tony, hope you're well. Thought I'd drop a reply. I've always picked up strumming patterns by ear which I know isn't necessarily helpful. But, my dad struggles with that and likes to see it written down as a pattern he can learn methodically. Everyone is different. But, here's a tip which may help you train yourself to pick patterns up by ear and strum straight away as I've learned to. Listen intently to the guitar strumming ignoring all other instruments, perhaps a chord or bar at a time and pause it. Then, based on what you've listened to, begin to drum the beat with your hand on a table or your guitar strings. Forget about the up and down strumming, just feel the 'groove' and tap away. Or try singing/saying the strumming pattern out loud: "Dum, dum, dudum dudu dum..." Hopefully this makes. This is just my two cents. All the best on your guitar journey 😎

Wrong chords
@AnthonyFernsGuitarTutorials5 жыл бұрын
Please elaborate..
@thewailingwailers10225 жыл бұрын
@@AnthonyFernsGuitarTutorials The verse chords are like bar chords with the strings played open F#add11 Aadd9 G#5. In middle section there's Badd11. Hope thar helps
@AnthonyFernsGuitarTutorials5 жыл бұрын
@@thewailingwailers1022 That's really fine, the chords are still fundamentally the same then, with or without open strings, that is the bottom line. Remember we are playing Oasis not Jazz, this is a practical format for people to go play their own gigs, I would also wager Noel has never referenced Badd11.

@@AnthonyFernsGuitarTutorials Yea correct. He probably doesn't even know there correct names. Just makes the song sound more authentic. Have a good day. Peace Kev
