Hey Anthony, I don't always have the time to watch your videos but I really admire the commitment and consistency. To me that's quite inspiring and I've been in this industry for around half the time you have, keep it up man!

Great video man. Not often I get to watch a coding vid where I acrually laugh out loud at what is being said. "You could do an interface or whatever the fuck you want" 😂 Instant sub my friend

I think you can change your font size by going into the settings for Windows Terminal and changing it there.

It's cool, but i think that some language with GC work not very well for the ping server. C++ or Rust will be better for it

You criticize GameServer type name and right below you created newGameServer un-exported function :D Why the double standard keep both capitalized if you like that way :P

How do we deal with latency spikes from golang’s “pause the world garbage collector”? (This is why discord switched to rust.)
@anthonygg_ Жыл бұрын
Thats a story they tell you. Remember whatsapp that was build on 1 single server with 3 people in Erlang? That something they dont tell you.
@serene6182 Жыл бұрын
@@anthonygg_ Good point, but whatsapp users are far less likely to get upset if their texting chat suffers a mere 100 millisecond gap in performance every 2 minutes due to GC, the same way an FPS gamer might when that 100milliseconds means his last bullet didn’t register.

@@serene6182 object pooling and pre allocations. Gc collections are faster than you think when handled correctly.
