Despite all the money thrown at Joshua, the possitive media circus around him and the easiest routes to titles, he is not elite, has driven fans away with his racism and seems to lack the stomach anymore. Fury did it all the hard way, had all the negative press laid at him and is the only current hw that has beaten the reigning, dominant champion fighters of this era, is the world no.1 heavyweight and has won every belt there is by beating the very best. He is the pride of Britain once you get outside the London liberal bubble. Everyone talks about Fury, Joshua is luckily fading away as other more talented fighters replace him. It was his team that swerved Wilder, it was his team that has refused Fury twice in inside a year. He never was elite. Thank god for Fury or the HW scene would be about as much fun and deep personality as Peter Ebdon

So happy AJ spoke to Wladimir. He's in a similar situation Klitschko was once in. After his losses against Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster everyone said he was done. Many said it was time to retire - even Vitali said he thinks it's time to hang up the gloves. But then Emmanuel Steward found him and turned him into a monster who was close to unbeatable at his peak. He went on to reign for over a decade and had an entire era named after him and his brother. I'm not saying that AJ will achieve what Klitschko did, but he's clearly far from washed and I do believe he can come back.

(Joshua to ESPN after Ruiz loss in 2019). I really like that Klitschko is still helping Joshua (shown here with the swimming advice). He's a great role model in terms of skill, discipline, respect and humility and has so many lessons to offer as someone who has also experienced defeats and has been quite cautious in the ring as a result (which both helped him dominate and also cost him as well in his last two fights). I know it's impossible right now due to world events, and I hope Joshua gets on well with James in any case to keep developing his own unique style, but I'd love to see WK in AJ's corner for a fight.
