Many people are struggling with retirement, and it’s becoming even harder for workers to save due to low wages, rising inflation, and the burden of high rents. Middle-class Americans are also finding it increasingly difficult to own homes, leaving them without a place to retire to.

Rising prices have disrupted my plans to retire at 62, work part-time, and continue saving for the future. I’m left wondering if those who navigated the 2008 financial crisis had an easier time than what I’m facing now. The combination of stock market volatility and reduced income is causing anxiety about whether I’ll have enough funds to retire comfortably.

It’s generally recommended to save at least 20% of your income in a 401(k). Joseph Nick Cahill has taught me how to calculate the ideal savings based on my age and income. I’ve been working with him for years, and his decades of experience in the markets have added significant value to my strategy. He’s helped upscale my portfolio and even encouraged me to read self-help books-haha! His guidance has truly made a difference in my financial approach.

I learned more about financial tools and shared it with my family. Also understanding that i have everything I need, so really think about the things I may "want" in life. Everything you think is nice doesn't mean you should buy. Ask yourself questions.

Is it too late to become a millionare at 55"? probably. But i can make my life better. I also paid off each credit card per month.
@michelleh9794Күн бұрын
You would need approximately $6000 invested per month if starting from zero. Check out the money guys wealth multiplier it shows you by age how much you need to invest by age if you plan to retire at 65 to become a millionaire. But it’s never too late to start my mom only started investing 5 years ago and she’s 62 now so better late than never.

Yes doing everything yourself is not the best. But until you get to the point where you can afford it you do have to do some things yourself.

Dave Ramsey speaks more to the 9-5 people, and he is a millionaire because of it. The investors will always make more money, because their money is unlimited. We have to save our mindset about money. If it puts money in your pocket a good investment. If it takes money from you, its not. Know the difference between needs, and wants.
